Hey all. I'm planning on attending Adepticon, and playing Cryx for their revenge tournament. The format is one list, 35 points, all killbox missions. This is the list I'm considering:

E-Denny
Deathjack
Deathripper
Deathripper
Skarlock Thrall
Bile Thralls (min)
Bane Knights (min)
Pistol Wraith
Pistol Wraith
Warwitch Siren

E-Denny - She's a great caster for denying movement and staying alive with her ability to become Incorporeal. Also her spell list works well for getting me charges when I need them, despite models in the way of a caster.

Deathjack - He's the big beat stick. Two free focus a turn, fast and able to put out a LOT of hurting. I was considering Nightmare in his place, just for stealth and Imprint Ghostly. Any thoughts?

Deathripper - Arcnodes are good with Denny, I would almost say compulsory.

Skarlock - A free spell every turn will really help to keep the charges happening, and also let Denny stay loaded up on a bit more focus to help her live.

Bile Thralls - Clear holes in lines, kill troops, and just do everything bile thralls do. They also draw fire, which is good.

Bane Knights - Ghostly to ignore terrain, reach and weapon masters, they are the kill unit. Hopefully getting a charge through enemy units and making short work of the enemy caster/warlock.

Pistol Wraiths - They will take out chunks of units and keep large scary targets relatively neutered.

Warwitch Siren - Another Spray, and the ability to un-disrupt my jacks is always good.

Those are my thoughts, please critique me and let me know of any choices you think would work better.

IMO E-Denny doesn't really need Skarlock as you're probably going to cast Ghostly onto something first turn and he's not likely going to survive long enough to get off a Spell Slave action on your opponent. I would personally rather run Bane Thralls in MK II than Bane Knights and if you drop the Skarlock you can field a full unit. I really try not to run Banes unless I can also field Tartarus but I don't think you can shave points elsewhere.

I personally don't like Nightmare because I can't stand the model so I naturally take DJ over him. Deathjack has quite a bit more utility with his Necromancer ability and survivability, but at the cost of a little less threat range. Personally I love Pistol Wraiths in almost any list, and with E-Denny they are even better as she can help them reliably hit almost anything on her feat turn.

By charge through enemy units, what do you mean?

Ghostly doesn't allow them move through units, correct?

With Edenny's spell "Curse of Shadows" they can.

I like Nightmare with Deneghra in any form personally. Deathjack is great, but I think Nightmare would be a better overall buy as a beatstick. He has the ability to do an effective P+S 24 hit against his prey, and with prey he has the same basic P+S on his fists as Deathjack and Stealth with Denny. He gets Ghostly for a single focus instead of having her or her Skarlock cast it.

If you are going for a ghostly/incorporial theme, then I'd drop the Bile Thralls and beef up the Bane Knights. You could then buy Tartarus and have a ghostly, undying legion of Banes as a front line. Something like this perhaps?

eDeneghra (+6)
Nightmare (10)
2x Deathripper or Nightwretch (8)
Tartarus (4)
10 bane Knights (10)
2x Pistol Wraith (6)
Warwitch Siren (2)

That leaves you 1 point to spend on whatever. You could drop the Bane Knights down to 6 and take the Withershadow Combine, or just add in a Machine Wraith or something. I don't feel that the Bile Thralls are necessary since Deneghra has Hellmouth, and in my experience it has been quite an effective troop killer.

Just my thoughts.
