Hi all
I'm looking for a bit of feedback on the Vayl lists I'm considering running for the upcoming slow grow tournament. I think I've got a pretty good handle on her at 35 points and up, but the limitations of slow grow seem to make it difficult to build her how I'd considered optimal (for playing and collection expansion) at 15 and 25 points.
Originally I'd planned the following:
15
pVayl
Ravagore
Scythean
Shredder
25 (remove Ravagore, add Typhon + Seraph)
pVayl
Typhon
Scythean
Seraph
Shredder
However, I didn't realise that slow grow means you have to keep the same pool of models, which essentially breaks my progression of that 15 point list (which to me seems optimal) into an optimal 25 point list (which would include Typhon). In fact, due to only 10 points being able to be added at a time, it essentially means that if I don't begin with Typhon at 15, I can never use him until we hit the week where we go from 35 > 50 points and I don't really want to miss him out for that long. Because he's awesome and has 3 heads, and clearly ruins ALL THE THINGS with Incite.
That would essentially mean that my 15 point list would need to become
pVayl
Typhon
Scythean
in order to fit the progression and still look like a viable list.
(Although not relevant to this post, the next 10 points I have planned are min Raptors, Forsaken and a Deathstalker, and the final 15 a Ravagore and some more solos - I'd have liked to fit the Ravagore in earlier, maybe that's something worth thinking about?)
