Not only do I support the Project Paint Pink to spread awareness of Breast Cancer, I myself have painted my Retribution Purple which is the color of Alzheimer's Awareness. Just like Breast Cancer Alzheimers is a terrible disease, for those who had or have loved ones going through it I feel your pain, I lost my Grandmother to this disease over 10 years ago so in her honor I paint this army purple. Hope you all like it.

Your pics are very blurry. I'm sorry, but I cant see the figures.
From what I see it looks good, but try to make some better pics.
EDIT: Also, I'm sorry for your loss.

love the idea. It's great that your dedicating the army to your grandmother. maybe soon we'll start to see more organized events like the Breast cancer brawl ^^"
I would also like to see some better pictures though. Do some justice to these models and show em off.

Way better -- the light may be washing it out but you could use a nice dark wash of purple on the purples -- and picking out the edges with a bit of highlighting. Same for the Green -- bringing some much brighter green into the deepest part of the glow. That would give it a LOT more depth.
Its a good colour choice as the two are complimentary.

Trick for the shading is to thin your wash out a lot and then only put so much on your brush -- not TOO full. Then press it against a crevice and let it get pulled in by surface tension. If you end up with too much in there, wipe the excess off your brush and then just touch it into the pool on the model and it'll soak up most of it. You'll get the hang of that eventually; just don't let it sit too long. You can also slop it in and then just go back with your original paint colour and clean up the edges.
The edging can be pretty simple.. just take the base colour and lighten it a bit -- run a thinned down line over the edges of panels on surfaces more likely to receive light. You can keep it pretty basic w/o going overboard and it will still create depth. It won't be the most 'realistic' shading ever but it'll break up the surface from being one uniform colour.
Something else occurred to me -- you could really use another colour on there -- most likely another darker shade of purple. You could use it on your 'stones' as well as in other places where 'metal' is exposed on the jacks -- it could create some extra contrast. If you check out my post on my Scyir in this forum you'll see how I did something like that w/ a darker shade of green to break the uniformity down.

This isn't actually a bad idea. Paint his weapon something bright and noticeable so you never forget you have that one model with a magic weapon stuck in with your non-magic sentinels or whatever. It's like a rules reminder :)

Exactly Finigan...
Sike, not a bad idea though. Really I painted it green because I like it.

What I have painted so far, and went back and did a little highlighting to the Jacks.
