So, after putting in a good bit of man hours into painting my Carnivean last night, I finally finished him up, and sealed him. He was painted Gnarls Green, and then followed up with Iosan green for the Highlight areas. The spikes are Battlefield Brown, followed up with Rucksack Tan. So, as you can tell, he is a very green/brown Carnivean. Looks very cool. {Will get a pictures on the forums once my phone charges up} Anyway, I've run into a little speed bump. I was thinking about what flesh color to go with for my Elves skin color. Someone suggested an Olive Green color, and I don't mind that, but that color is a lot closer to like, an Orc color, and it seems a littls strange, on any sort of elf. So, I come to the forums to ask for an idea. Anyone got any???

Since you got a lot of greens in there, maybe some shade of brown would do the trick?

think of autumn trees - with your green and brown colour scheme perhaps orangey browns, highlighting to yellows. Little bit out there but its a suggestion never the less.
The alternate colour scheme for the Carnivean sounds good, look forward to seeing the pics. I'm just about to finish EThag, so will upload some pics also.

Your colour scheme sounds similar to my own.

I had a hard time picking the nyss skin colour scheme. I wanted something to tie them in with the beasts but still differentiate them. I went with green skin but a much paler tone.

Hope that helps give you an idea.

Yeah, I was told I should go with a paler green color. And my Legion is actually more of a brighter green. I think Iosan Green is like, the traditional green. That color looks like an orcish green. And the bony plates are a lighter brown. Anyway, I was considering like a Drow color scheme. At least with the skin color, but make their clothes have some greens drawn in with them. Not sure how to do a dark enough grey, without overpowering the details of the model though.

Why don't you go for a normal pale flesh tone, but instead of using a brown or blue to tint it, go for a green. This wouldn't be green skin as such, more a greeny hued skin. It could still match in with your colour scheme while staying elvish and not looking like orcs.

Try separating the green into its components: pale yellowish skin tones with ashy blue shadows. The brightness of the yellow should compliment your beasty greens, and the blue tones will keep them menacing instead of cheery.
