so I worked on my birthday presents today and finished modeling my scavenger and stalker. Let me know what you think.

It feels to me like you've banked the Scavenger a little bit too much.

Otherwise, nice posing.

Love these! Are you going to do anything to camouflage the supporting rods? I'm doing something similar with my Stalker - I think I'm going to try to hide the rod with a patch of broomstraw reeds.

Sadly, I dont think normal terrain will work because of how tall it is. I think that my plan is to prime it black and see how well it just blends into the background and if that doesn't work then I will attempt to paint it a very similar color to others on the base/model so that it just hides in plain sight.

It worked on my harrower pretty well:

its not perfect but no one ever seems to notice the rod there when looking at it.

Ok I redid the support rod for my stalker and like it much more, particularly thanks to the last 2 shots there, thats his 1/2" and it totally looks (to me) like he is about to pounce on her head. Made me so happy!

Have you considered trying to get some clear plastic rods instead? In the first photo of the new pose, the front rod does end up being a bit distracting.

yea I tried buying some at the store while I was there picking this guy up and they didn't have any. I also don't know where to find good ones online. The other issue I have with them is that I think they would tend to be thicker and thus harder to drill into the guy to make it more stable.

As for the first pic I realized while looking at it on the blog that it wasn't the best angle to take the pic from. If you are looking at him from a more normal (top down) angle that rod is much less imposing.

I like the repose on the stalker - having the support rod going into it's hip is much less distracting than having it go into his chin. I also really like your pose on the scavenger. I don't think it's banked too sharply at all, and actually like the motion it gives the model.

I got another stalker for my birthday (rounding out my 50 point Morty list woot!) and posed him to make it look like sort of an insect/hyena type thing. I know they don't really need to eat but I like the idea of that being sorta the "instinct" imprinted on the cortex of these guys. Plus I just like the way it looks so I make stuff up as best I can to match that haha.

PS: the green stuff is meant to be like intestines and will be painted like a pinkish red and varnished to look very gross if I can pull it off right
