View Full Version : LoS through intervening models?

I was looking through the old forums and I found this graphic:

I'm confused about the bottom right-hand corner. It looks like models can draw line of sigh through small based models as long as the attacker is of a certain base size and the target is also of a certain base size. Can someone explain this for me? I was under the impression that intervening models always block LoS unless a special rule indicates otherwise (Phantom Seeker, &c.)

Intervening models block LOS to models of equal or smaller base size.
The model 'looking' doesn't affect it, as far as I am aware.

The bottom right diagram shows (top left) small based models in front of a small based model (so no LOS), and
(top right) small based models in front of a large(r) based model (so LOS),

The bottom two parts of the bottom right diagram show the same thing, but in reverse.

The top left area shows the solution to the problem, the large based model cannot see over the small based models to a small based model.

I believe this is still the case in mk2.

I believe everything in this diagram still applies to MK2 except for all references to screening (which was removed from the game rules).

As minust explained, it is the relative base sizes of the target model and intervening models that determines whether the intervening models block LOS or not. The size of the attacker does not matter.
