Lost to a Bane Thrall loaded Epic Skarre Cryx list with Kaelyssa, one of the most unfun games I have ever had.

Won against Epic Stryker in a last ditch assassination try with Ravyn after most of her army was wiped off the floor.

Lost a slug fest with Epic Irusk with Dawnload Vyros. It was pretty brutal with Vyros going toe to toe with the Great Bears, Beast 09, and what was left of a Man-o-War squad.

So played two 35p. games against Menites. My first games ever to tell the truth.

In first game I was quiet a noob and Purifiers ate my Sentinels for breakfast dispite Inviolable Resolve and Wilmon finished Vyros off. It's telling that pSeverius was able to take out three of my Stealth solos with one arced Ashes to Ashes...

Second game I came better prepared. It was a kind of war of attrition against eFeora. First Feora failed his Firestep assassin run and it seemed to be my game. However thanks to abysmal rolls I failed to pack the lone warcaster in my lines dispite hacking her with Vyros with flank from Griffon. Then it seemed to be Menites game but the luck is fickle and now Vyros was able to take everything thrown at him including Feora herself who Firestepped away and charged again. So I got one more turn and finally my Phoenix was able to crush the girl. Yea!

1 35 point game vs pButcher; I usually get steamrolled by this guy but it was quite the opposite today. I was a bit worried when he fielded 3 heavy jacks ( Beast, Juggy and Kodiak ) and I only had a Manticore and a Griffon; Some quick work from a Magister and my min sized sentinel squad did QUITE a bit of damage though and it went from there.

I ended up cleaning every Khador model off the table before CRAing Butcher to death with a full invictor squad.

Rahn has really become a force to be wary of in the local meta. Have had little success with Ravyn and only once won due to time being called and attrition. The loss was due to very poor damage rolls during a feat turn. Chimera is a very mobile arc node that is able to flank first and second turn and then be behind opponents by third if the opponent isn't careful.

Protectorate with the anti magic puts a real cramp on the Sithlord Mit.

Hid the force behind everything I could and forced his advance. The magehunter strike force Phantom seeker to soften up the advance. Opponent made a mistake and became obssesed with killing the magehunters to the point of falling out of position for an assassination run.

alright local tourney/League scene finished up and man do people hate my Ravyn. 34 games in the past month or so, 4 of em losses.

There isn't much she can't kill. People really really dont know how deadly boosted pow 12s are and that when the phoenix aims to hit you and your in melee range of Ravyn, it hurts like hell cause of the boosted fire damage.

MHA got me at least 6 assassinations, and the Scyir is my favorite solo ever. He is so unsuspecting!

Game at 35 Points against Cryx, pGaspy list. Those poor thralls were torn to shreds by Ravyn to have her get into firing range of Gaspy, take a shot for half his health, and use the last bit of focus to place a Veil of Mists on his guys prepared to take my Griffon and Scyir, Griffon advances through the models, and headbutts gaspy and hits, then the Scyir charges and 4d6 on the damage is a pain in the ***!

First match was a 35 point Ravyn verses Haley that was ended with a Ravyn feat and almost all shots that could be generated were needed to end her.

Second match was Rahn verses Siege at the 50 point level and with mistakes made by both casters, Rahn managed to line up a force hammer the turn after he waisted his feat and that the the start of a chain of small damage strikes that ended Siege's elf child soul eating for another week.

Two solid wins for Rahn in two 15 pts games against Sorscha. In both games Sorscha got a chain blast to the face and died ;)

(ok, in the first game i slammed one of her jacks over her, so she got a POW 12 collateral damage roll before the boosted chain blast and i rolled 6,6,6 on the damage for the chain blast. In the second game Sorscha took a combustion from my Phoenix and in the next turn i got her again with the chain blast, this time rolling for eleven damage and needing a nine.)

Tore up pStryker bottom of turn 2. He was surrounded by 'jacks, gun mages and mechanics. Narn was 9" away behind my lines. Popped Ravyn's feat, and suddenly Stryker was so surrounded any more. Narn for the win (assisted by the Invictors who were left over after the rest took out Stryker's protection & a P15 shot from the Hydra).

Lost a vyros MM 15 point game against kromac before the latest update. He got into kromac's range, got himself all cut up.
Won a game with rahn against skorne. Riflemen, two manticores, and battle mages let me whittle his army down as he tried to approach.
Won a game with ravyn against rhyas. Firepower at range and up close were able to cut her army down to nothing in a few turns.
Won a game with Ravyn against Ashlynn. Ashlynn left herself open first turn with no focus, and feat and snipe + minifeat on invictors, as well as destors and a manticore, took her to 1 life. The next turn it was clear the way for another invictor CRA, and that was game.

Played against Deneghra last night; opponent made the mistake of playing her too far forward, despite having five arc nodes on the board, and the Phoenix just walked up and Combusted. Fire didn't go out on his next turn, and the Phoenix was close enough to advance and take a swing. Crispy fried Deneghra.

Garryth's Invictors and Phoenix tied up Bane Thralls and four Cryxian warjacks while Garryth himself shrugged off Skarre's assassination attempts and coordinated with a Mage Hunter Assassin for the kill.

Rahn sat back and buffed his gloves while Mage Hunters + UA plinked at Harby and Battle Mages pingponged Vilmon, keeping well ahead of the Hierophant's meager attempts to heal. Harby-Doc-Vilmon 2.0 brought to ruination.

Ravyn's ranged-heavy force fared poorly against Vlad's heavy armor Khador list, and Destroyer shots obliterated her Mage Hunters while Vlad systematically killed the Mage Hunter Assassin, Eiryss, and then Ravyn herself before the assassination run could come to fruition.

Kaelyssa beats pButcher in 15 point match, w/ Stormfall, Hydra, and full Houseguard Riflemen. CRAs and boosted Hydra shots w/Kinetic Capacitor as well as Energy Siphon sucking away the Butcher's camped focus spelled his end.
Kaelyssa's feat prevented the Butcher and his 'jacks from charging or shooting me, preserving my forces for another strong CRA. In my first game playing as my wonderful Retribution, Vyros defeated Epic Goreshade to end a literal 2-year losing streak! Vyros used Mobility, and the Hydra charged over some rough terrain to smash Goreshade up following a shot from Eiryss.

Kaelyssa found herself the lucky recipient of an overly aggressive pLylyth, who jumped the gun an left herself open to cheesy :) fury sucking via Energy Siphon and a massive overkill shot from the Phoenix.

In the second game Vyros found himself hating life against a fully stealthed opponent (eLylyth, Battlegroup beasts and the Totem Hunter). The game however, ended up being a long lasting attrition game, finally ended when eLylyth bullseyed Mitten's Jr (allowing the Totem Hunter to switch prey to Vyros) and bullseyed Vyros as well. A leaping Totem hunter then took his totem.

Played a bunch of games this weekend.

Garryth is rapidly becoming my go-to 'caster, taking home two more wins with a Skarre rematch from last week and a brutal assassination run on pNemo.

Rahn survived an ECaine Gate Crasher assassination run and Force Hammered him into a Manticore which, well, spent some focus.

I still can't get the hang of Ravyn. After playing her defensively last week, I tried running her offensively, which just got her cut down by pStryker.

My wins vs my group at the end of the Hordes FT. Rayvn, in my first game with her, gets smooshed and eaten by a zooming ghostly Feral run by pKaya. Rahn claims victory over pLylth three times, and Hexeris once. All 35 point games.

The last two wins over Lyllth were kinda funny. I killed her top of turn two by feating, and arcing a force hammer into the Legionares she was hiding behind, knocking her down, and then shooting her to death with a Manticore. So, since the game was over pretty fast, we agree my buddy can set up again and redo his first turn. He basically does the same thing, but layers more Legionares to protect from the bowling pin, despite my taunting that I'm just going to kill her again. My first ever warmachine games the other day. /Cheer.

Won two games with dawngaurd/myrmidon Vyross lists, pretty much by brute force. First one against a storm knight themed force, slammed my sentinels into his knights and had an ugly cluster**** in the middle of the table. After the third turn and I Felt I had enough kills I popped feat and ran a pumped up manticore through his lines and crushed his caster, cant remember his name.

Second game was against Khador, lots of heavy jacks and Karchev, we ran straight for each other, again a large melee in the center. My manticore and one sentinel unit went down early thanks to some pretty crazy rolling on both our parts, but I used the focus to pump up my remaining sentinels and Vyross, and went to town on his biggest hitters, and eventually ground him out. Vyross ended the game himself by squishing Karchev :D.

Yes! I pushed Kaelyssa over 100! One victory against pVlad, and one against pNemo fo her, and then one victory for Vyros against a Cryx eSkarre 'jack heavy list. That victory was fantastic, as the Phoenix is consistently my all-star, and on that win eSkarre had pulled her feat (cannot be targeted) and thought she was invincible, and the Phoenix walked up and fire burst (or whatever it's called) causing continuous fire and a POW12 to a focusless caster... she died on her own turn! Bwhaha.

Had a Steamroller tournament of five games weekend.

1. eButch: Beast 09 kinda single handedly destroyed 2/3 of my army. Even charging Sentinels to it's back arc couldn't stop it. Vyros scooped after a failed assassination run by my armies scraps.

2. eThaggy: Everything was going my way after very good feat turn but then Thaggy was 2mm too close to Ravyn, crit froze her and Typhon finished the deal with it's sprays.

3. Garryth: Close match with two Eirysses distrupting both casters. Garryth shot Vyros with worrying triple six damage roll but then some Sentinels were able to brake free from their combat and chopped Garryth down.

4. pAspy: I was so losing this game for my lack of magical attacks but then my twin Hydras were able to break free from CC and with some lucky rolls shot the too-brave-for-his-own-good liche down. Vyros would have been very dead next round.

5. eSorcha: Def 17 Winterguard was too much for my, but Arm 19 Sentinels were too much for him. I would have won by scenario so Sorcha went for a caster kill. Couldn't roll the dice however and then Vyros stomped him.

Lot of games this weekend, while I was snowed in.

I tried a few Garryth lists, running him with Sentinels rather than Invictors and getting a feel for that -- think I like Sentinels a lot, although I do miss those brutal CRAs. Garryth personally took out pHaley and pKreoss, and his pair of MHAs took down the Butcher (wasn't going to risk it with Garryth himself).

My efforts to make a Rahn list that I like continued, looks like Housguard Halberdiers are pretty much fantastic. I lost to devastating pNemo chain lightning followed by Thunderhead brutality, but then took down eNemo and eStryker on feat turns, with lovely boosted Battle Mage and Magister shots.

Tried Ravyn for the first time and faced the High Reclaimer with an infantryspam brick, which was probably a bad matchup for the HR. Ravyn and Sentinels cleaved through his lines with impunity, and a 4d6 charge from Ravyn herself ended it at lightning speed.

Also played a quick 25-pointer with Kaelyssa against Asphyxious. Gaspy got too close and two fully loaded Phantom Hunter'd Hydras put him down before the rest of the army had even engaged.

OK- updated all the games I can remember. Most recent one was pretty big for me. First time I ever beat our pressganger. ( I even lost my demo game way back when I started.

This was my first run with Rhan- 35 pt tiered list against very shooty ecain Cygnar. Thanks to cover from some ruins my mages survived the first round of shooting- I popped rhans f and then just moved his models out of the way so the Hydra could get a boosted shot. Dead Cain.

1st game - 35 points. Ravyn vs eHaley. Bonded Stormclad with Telekinesis and Temporal Acceleration makes for a stupidly fast and dangerous jack. Luckily my opponent's dice failed him and his assassination attempts failed. I managed to get my Phoenix close enough to set Haley on fire and 100% of the damage done to her was from the fire. First time I've ever seen a caster killed solely from a continuous effect.

2nd game - 35 points. Rahn vs Siege. Typical Siege tactic of Fox Holed on a hill. Turn two caster kill for me. My opponent advanced Siege close enough to take a couple shots at my Manticore and didn't close the hole. On my turn, my Phoenix ran up and Rahn feats and arced a Telekinesis spell (12 to hit on 3 dice... rolled a 12) to pull Siege out of his fox hole. Then the Battle Mages do their thing and push and pull and knock down Siege until he was close enough to be charged by the Manticore. Splat!

I would really like to see everyone get in more games with Vyros, Rhan, and Garryth. They have the smallest game sampling, but also the highest win averages. Would like to see how it balances out over a larger number of games.

Rahn kills the High Reclaimer in two 25pt games, my regular Menite opponent and I were practicing for a Resurgence tournie on the 7th. Turns out that Manticores can just sort of walk up to Reckoners and, with three focus, make them very dead. Oh, and Sentinels are mean. Like, dice up entire unit of Bastions mean. I loves me some Sentinels. :D

Round 1, turn 2 - Rahn Feats, Force Hammering a Destroyer over Sorscha, Sentinels move in for the chopping. W

Round 3, turn ? - A long grind with the Harbinger, ends with me forgetting to not END UP IN THE DEVOUT's MELEE RANGE for the final charge against his caster. L

Round 4, turn 2 - My second turn 2 gank of the day, with the Phoenix running within 12" of EDenny. Stormfall Archers clear out the intervening models. Rahn Feats, Chain Blast and Force Hammer end up being not quite enough. Luckily the Shyeel Magister was able to get within range and finish her off. W

Game 1 -- 35 pt Rahn vs Epic Butcher's-- I waited one turn to long to pop my feat did me in a Doom reave that was able to charge twice to get into Rahns grill and bought multiple extra attacks.

Game 2-- 25 pt man in the middle vs Irusk and Epic Feora Hydra zapped the hell out of Irusk but the Menoth play Gorman coroded him to kill him thus winning the scenerio. Even though Rahn was the only caster left standing. The Menoth Player was declared the victor.

Game 3-- Old Witch 25 pt force hammering my own Hydra over the top of the Old Witch for the win. Grey lord cast a cloud effect on her so I could not directly attack her so an improvised hydra missle finished her off.

A 35-point tournament over the weekend, which I brought Rahn to.

I went 3-1 and took second place overall:

Game 1 vs eCaine: I couldn't get close but neither could he. We postured a lot until time was called, and I lost this one on VPs (Caine killed a lot of my models).

Game 2 vs Terminus: Having faced Mutton on Vassal playing Terminus, I had an idea of what to expect. I played extremely fast and aggressively, denying him charges with Polarity Shield and risking a bit while Terminus was fairly far away in order to slam him and bring a pair of MHAs to bear before he got a chance to feat.

Game 3 vs Kraye: Kraye was running 'jack heavy with several Hunters, which worked out well for me. Sentinels and the Phoenix put some hurt on the Hunters early, which let me advance with relative impunity. Kraye ended up trying to run, but as before, a slam from Rahn and pursuing MHA brought him down fast.

Game 4 vs Coven: I got outmaneuvered quickly in this game due to an early feat from the Coven. As a result, we both lost our arc nodes very quickly, making the center of the map a massive battle. Chain Blast kept back the tide of Mechanithralls, but I lost my Phoenix and Sentinels rather brutally. Neither of us could get close to the other, and I eventually won on VPs when time ran out.

Odd board set-up, good size woods took up both sides, just off centerline, and a ruined farm shack in the middle. So, the train funneled both armies to the middle and then the shack moved the armies to one side of the "clearing".

Anywho his jack used Craigs feat and inflicted 70% loss to my Halbrieds but he could not capitalize on it. Ravyn step to the right, feated used eliminator to kill 2 Stormblades, she moves up 4 more inches and shot Craig. The Manticore finished him off.

Ran my 2nd and 3rd games ever in 2 25 pt games.

1st game was Garryth vs. Strakhov. It was a really close game, but he won in the end comboing strakhovs feat w/ The kazaya assassins minifeat and took garryth down.

2nd game ran Vyros took down eHaley. Got a sentinal on her and also shot into the combat with 2 ghost snipers. Both rolled boxcars to hit and got 2 deadly shots off!

Adding in my 1-1 record with Kaelyssa. First ever Ret game I overextended and my Hydra managed to not kill Sorscha with Pow +5 on the gun and then boosted. Next game was a lesson to show a friend how to play. He took pStryker and Ironclad I had Kae and Phoenix. Spent most of the game with a disrupted jack but Stryker thought he had won it after the previous turn scrapped the Phoenix, let his armour buffs expire but forgot he was on fire from Combustion..... crispy stryker dies.

One loss with Rhan- one win.

The loss was just pour list building. Played against Kara Sloan Cygnar team with lots of guns. Not enough mittens on board for his feat. Additionally it was the first time that I played with shield guard...and I ran them first turn...duh.


The win was the same player- but he brought the dwarfs. I had a better list this time. He moved into range and I draggged the poor little dwarf to his doom.

Just played my fourth game of Warmachine. Got my first assassination kill with Garryth. Took out strakhov. Whipsnapped Garryth out from behind a pillar then he ran up and wrecked strakhov. Garryth took him down easily... and that's with me forgetting Garryth had weapons master.

I have to add a couple of... *gulp*... losses for Vyros...

One game was against eFeora and a firespam list (Deliverers causing fire, Vanquishers, Redeemers, Flameguard, etc.) and Vyros ran 'jack heavy - t'was not pretty for Vyros.

Second game was against a Denny complete stealth army, with Vyros again running 'jack heavy and without Ayana and Holt. I knew of our Achille's Heel for stealth, but damn that game sucked.
