With the first list I would drop the swamp gobbers and the krielstone to a min and use the points freed up to upgrade the Swamp troll to an axer. Mulg needs to be able to charge his full distance and getting him slowed down by terrain is a pain when you really need him to wreck something. Second list looks fine though I would be tempted to switch out the Long Riders and Janisssa for max Fennblades + UA as they have the threat range and the reach to very terrifying on Madrak's feat turn and are just awesome with blood fury.

I can understand the axer with mulg. Im a bit torn though, as I love swampy for his animus and the chance to crit consume troublesome solos like the covenant of menoth.

Can't you only crit consume small base models?

I believe that the Covenant is considered a small based model where base sizes are called into question, I may be mistaken though.

The covenant is a small based model for all purposes other than the actual amount of physical space it occupies on the table. This is only relevant when applying the rule of least disturbance.

This is good to know, my local meta doesn't have a lot of Menoth.
