Infantry spam. what does Circle do.

I run the eKrueger teir and just faced Trolls. What does eKrueger do in this situaton. Kriel warriors and Fenns in particular. I spamed out the lightning AOE with the Wolds and dropped a few with my lock. other than that I was stumped.

That's actually Krueger's main thing there. Cripple the movement of the horde, and leave templates in the way so that they have issues actually getting to you.

Other casters have varying degrees of handling it better, though. Cassius, Mohsar, Morvahna, and Krueger1, in particular, do it in droves. Tharn Bloodtrackers, Blackclad Wayfarers, the Lord of the Feast, and Ravager White Manes may also be things to look into.

pKrueger is kind of our go to guy for anti-infantry swarms. Between his feat, Chain Lightning and Electro Leap, he's all kinds of mean against Infantrymachine.

Everything see guys said is correct, but yeah, ironically eKrueger is one that traditionally suffers versus infantry swarms.
especially the tier list.
All I can suggest is maybe try laying down lightning aoe's. In casual games, what can you do? In tourney play, I'd rather take a second list...

I like pKrueger with a Feral Warpwolf and lightning tendrils.

Str 17 with reach and arcing pow 10's will do a good job of getting through troll armor and clearing out mass as well.

I like throwing your shifting stones up and positioning them so you can shoot lightning storm on them and have them set up in a way that if something goes through them they take the pow 10 no matter what.

Alot like the Cyclone.

Thanx Draxos. I will try that. I am trying to stick to just eKrueger for now. I want to master him before I move onto another caster. For my next list iam going to start with

I'm of the opinion of a couple things:

Feral Warpwolves > Warpwolf Stalkers with Krueger1. This is because it can have three Reach attacks rather than two, which gives it actually a better threat-kill range than the Stalker (since it can get all three attacks at 11", rather than one). It also is a tad tougher, and more accurate. The other main advantage of the Stalker, Berserk, isn't really needed either, and Krueger's beasts really more and more are for cracking open hard stuff. I find it isn't as needed, really.

Krueger also does better with infantry on his side too, I find. Try a unit like Gatormen, Bloodtrackers, Wolfriders or Bloodweavers. They have a nice ability to just plain hit hard (especially Wolfrider adn Bloodweavers) against some hard targets, while still also being able to mow things down with Lightning Tendrils. The spell does best when bounced around a lot, I notice.

He runs a list quite different than his epic incarnation. Something to keep in mind, all and all.

With eKrueger you need to take things that deal with infantry in groups, Warpwolf Stalker, Pureblood Spray, Druid UA Devouring, Blackclad spray, Stonekeeper AOE, LotF, bloodweaver bloodburst ect ect.

Feat and catch half the infantry unit in the zone, push them into each other, bunch them up and go to town.

I am in the works on a druid unit. I am trying not to get too deep into units and beast before I give them a fair shake. I made this misyake with my legion and just ended up shelving things befor I new what they did.

Wolves of Orboros. Eight points, twelve guys, eleven attacks, MAT 8 on the charge doing 23 damage each on average with power swell. They probably won't kill champions if they're in Defensive Line or within range of the stone, but they'll force about ten tough checks on his infantry swarm, and then he's stuck clearing them out the following round. Throw in a couple of Gallows Groves if you can (you probably bring them already).

His second tier list does include Lord of the Feast, who can help a bit against infantry. I'd be remiss if I neglected to point out that his first tier list does plenty against infantry, and can lay waste to wide swaths of Trolls. ( Ravagers x 2, starting with Heart Tokens. )

Shifting stones are great targets for lightning clouds - a unit of three shifting stones can potentially be placed across the front of a unit (catching more models than you would with direct hits) and become an enormous electric fence. Do it right and you can block heavies too just by making sure the stones block direct charges.

He is very strong against non-reach infantry because you can just slap lightning templates on things and opponents cant engage you without taking a pow 10 hit first.

Lightning clouds also combo great with the feat. Target the middle of a unit with lightning and then feat. Any models behind the template are already shut down for a turn. Any models that got hit by the template probably died but even if they didnt they are now behind the template and get shut down. Any models that were in front of the template now got pushed into it so you cause a bunch of extra hits.

eKrueger's tier new tier has a little trouble with infantry spam and High armor. (and should not be played against Hordes) That said, LotF, Druid Overseer, and Blackclad are all good at dealing with infantry. Utilize them and use your feat and your lightning AOEs to hold back and clear out what you can until you can set up the assassination run. This is really what the list is designed for.
