    Default Field Modification: Man-o-War

A Man-o-War lugging around a modified Field Gun, for when regular Widowmakers just don't quite cut it.

This is all sorts of awesome. I don't even play Khador and I want one.

Any game you walk away from knowing why it ended, and how to repeat or avoid that conclusion in the future, is a victory.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand there's that Man-o-War attachment everyone wants :P.

Superb job! Can I ask how you go about making your pieces? I used to have a fair hand at doodling but stopped. I've recently decided that I'd like to get back into it, any particular tips? I see signs that lead me to believe you went about this old school pen & pencil? Am I wrong?

@Charwood: This was done to help me get back into the habit of drawing, which I am pretty bad at making time to do. It is just pencil and copy paper as far as materials go.
Oddly enough, my pen-and-paper methods are starting to look a lot like how I work digitally. I built up this drawing in 3 layers, starting with a rough sketch to iron out the pose (this is actually the most important piece, and I wish I had spent a little more time getting it right). The second page got the plates and major details placed, and the third is what you see here. When I haven't drawn for a long time my drawings become very sketchy, and this is one method that helps me overcome that for the final piece.

I wouldn't think that it is a sniper rifle, seeing how it is a modified field gun.... I think it is more of a Man-O-War Heavy Rifleman

@Gobberking: That is pretty much how I envisioned him (stat-wise) when I was drawing him as well. It might be a little weird that he's a shieldwaller UA that cannot shield wall, but... meh!

yeah, the idea was for any of the man-o-wars to have ranged support before there comrades charge the remaining forces.

    OR... how about this!

    Man-O-War gun corp.

    same stats but...

modified field gun; rng. 14, rof. 1, aoe. -- pow. 13

    field allowance 1

    3 gun corps 6 pts
    5 gun corps 10 pts

    rules;
    combined ranged attack.

*hammer the gap- once per game when the leader of this squad performs a combined ranged attack, for each model contributing in the CRA add a cumulative +1 pow to the leaders attack (including leader of squad.)

I feel I'm missing something here but oh well. here are your new gun corp. enjoy!
