I call my theme "moldy goldy":
Black metallic as the base. "Highlight" with necrotite green. Dry brush with tarnished brash. Highlight with a brighter gold.
what colors did you use on tartar sauce's bottom ghostly part
mine are red.Piccie:

I am in love with your paint scheme Island!

My favorite thing ever is trolling the guys at my shop when they think Cryx has to be all dull and black.
Look for these and others when I bring them to Lock and Load this summer!

(Termy is a bit more Turquoise than the others)

Wow, have to say I like what I see, for all of them.
That Terminus conversion... I have no words....
Orange and gray DJ and Gaspy.
My name is Ingus... and I am funky.
Wow now that is bold, not my personal tastes but damm an army of that would look striking.

Here's my scheme. I thought purple with blue necrotite would be a good combo. I'm not a big fan of yellowish/green necrotite, but that's just my personal preference.

Oooh, purple! Suave!
Oh, yeah, the purple's nice!

Not exactly a alt paint scheme, more an interpritation of the classic scheme http://privateerpressforums.com/show...og-(pic-heavy)
These are quite impressive indeed.
Here are the two schemes I currently use
While they're not exactly alternate per say, their different from the Official colors.
Niiice, an army of that green looks badass, I expect!
What happened to the chicken in the front?
That's awesome-- I was totally thinking beetlejuice as well.

...legends tell of a mythical pirate captain by the name of Johnny Bones. Captain of the damned ship The Golden Thrall, doomed to forever navigate the murky waters of the seven seas trading mild innuendo and painting tips in every port he calls at...
Thanks.
The green is a pretty simple layer build.
1) if you use black primer like me, start by blocking in the areas with Menoth White Base. Bright green doesn't cover over black well.
2) Paint/Wash with thinned Necrotite Green. You want it to pull into the recesses and create your shade.
3) Midtones are VGC Bile Green. You could mix Necrotite Green and Cygnus Yellow to make an approximation of this color.
4) Highlights are pure Cygnus Yellow.
Biggest mistake most people make when trying to highlight green is they use white. It winds up looking dusty and chalky. Use yellow for maximum awesome.

I went for roman inspired Cryx.

Great thread!
Here's my contribution:
I've tried to go with a battered metal look to my jacks, and eeryness to my units. Right now I only have my Slayer and a unit of Bane Thralls done, but I'll soon have a couple of Deathrippers done as well.
