Default Do potatoes exist and get used as food in the Iron Kingdoms?

Yes, I'm being serious, and I am really curious if they do exist in the IK and get used as food. Can't imagine life without spuds. Thanks.

Generally, if there is something mundane, it's safe to assume that it exists unless proven otherwise. I'm sure Potatoes exist in the IK. What else does Khador make booze out of?

it depends on what you exactly you mean by "potato"... Potato is a family of multiple similar but (in some cases quite different) high starch root vegetables... if that's what you mean, then yes probably... if you mean white idaho, or Yukon gold varieties of potato... possibly not.

note - even this is a potato:

Well, the Five Fingers: Port of Deceit book mentions sugar beets used in rum, and the narrator says "they look like wagons full of potatoes." So I'd guess that not only are there potatoes in the IK, they're fairly common. Especially in Khador.
Corruption's a lot of fun, are you sure you don't want to try it?

There is a character who just showed up in my campaign from Khador of all places. His massive wagon filled with potatoes is something of a plot point.

I now have an odd urge to include a recurring cabbage merchant character in my next game.

Sure. They're mentioned explicitly in the Protectorate of Menoth faction book: Atop the first walled garden at civilization's dawn, a potato stood vigil.
