Thinking outside the box

I am looking for army lists that you want to see played, but don?t think will work in the normal tournament scene. Army lists that contained underused and undervalued units and casters that opponents will be scratching their heads trying to figure out why they are on the table. It doesn?t have to be a full 50pt list, just a base idea/tactic and the models to execute the tactic that is not normally seen in the wild.

I want to take the suggestions given in this thread and see what I can do with it; see if I can have some success playing a force outside of the box. Whatever is concocted from this experiment, I plan to bring to Lock and Load to face off in the Iron Arena, if not something more. So please take the time to collect your crazy thoughts and throw in your two cents on this subject.

Darius with trenchers. Just the sight of the two together is enough to make someone scratch his head lol But I think it could be somewhat interesting. You can prevent line of sight to your brick wall and they can get objectives real fast since they are advance deployed. Put some chain guns for covering fire and maybe even grenadier for some solo sniping (I am currently building a list that will use the grenadier with trenchers, I want to have 3 free aoes per turn with arcing fire). I think you can have a lot of unused model in this lol

Essentially you've got 2 AD Centurions running up the field 1st turn to contest, along with 5(!) units of Rangers (30guys for 20pts? Yes Please!) who can all AD, And give bonuses to hit with ranged attacks. Attacking into melee is nice when you've got +2 to hit and Aiming Bonuses canceling out your penalties. Furthermore, you've got the B13th Toolbox of skills, and with any luck your Hunters will be able to take down both objectives and heavies.

This one might actually have one bad matchup. Don't remember exactly but there was something in Menoth that couldn't be targetted by ranged attack if they weren't magic. So I guess this would leave you trying to get the jacks with yours while trying to hit something that isn't immune with the gunners.

Btw I like your idea, feels like I see new possibilities lol I will probably try this list too lol Should be able to this week.
