    Default eSorscha 25 pt

My friend and I mostly play 25 pt games since we dont have that many models yet and very limited time, as such I was trying to come up with a 25 pt list with eSorscha to battle his Circle forces. He usually brings Kromac with accompanying beasts or morghana with loads of infantry, mostly bloodtrackers. Anyway here is what I am thinking.

    eSorscha (6*)
    Spriggan (10)
Max Winter Guard Infantry with UA and 2 rockets (10)
    Great Bears (5)
    Aiyana and Holt (4)
    Kovnik Joe (2)

Changes I am thinking about making includes dropping a rocket to get Beast 09 instead of the spriggan, or replacing A&H with something else entirely, although I kind of like the idea of putting real dents in the circle beasts with the WGI. In any case the basic plan is to use the WGI as a screen for both A&H and the bears in order to bring them somewhat safely across the board, in case of mass infantry the sprays will come in handy and the spriggan can help with some of the stealth stuff with the flares. If the berserk stalker seems to be a big problem I can always call tough with Joe and take my chances on non-boosted shots with the WGI, probably paired up for the reroll from sorscha. All in all I think the list is pretty solid, but I would like it if someone could point out any flaws Im sure to have missed.

Def get beast. Warjack bond + thresher + feat is a game winner. If I can get beast into combat with 2 good targets, survive a round with cortex and right arm intact, its essentially game over.

Sounds pretty cool, Ill probably try both out in any case. Another thing Im considering is switching A&H for widowmakers in order to have something that could really benefit from shatterstorm since Ill probably be keeping IF on the WGI most of the time.

Beast or Spriggan + 1 rocket is pretty much personal preference. Can't go wrong with either.

Don't focus on Shatterstorm. I rarely use it. A decent player with infantry that can be killed by POW 8's can easily spread them out to avoid the AOEs. If anything, Shatterstorm is better used for the RFP effect than the AOE. And in a pinch, you can always put it on the WGI if you need it.

Keep A&H. They are great because they can make the WGI weapon's magical and Harm on the feat turn is brutal.

Yeah, I've been unimpressed with the widowmaker + shatterstorm deal. They may be worth 4 points, but I don't think the marksman is for this list. There are lots of other options once you get to 6 points. I'm gonna start fielding a mortar with her so WGI and Mortar are both targets for shatterstorm and desperate Pace, depending on what I need to do.

After just mowing down infantry with sorschas quad gun I kinda wanna thrown Harlan Versh in for more shooty fun.

I dont think Beast can be bonded since its a character jack. Character jacks need special issue rules to bond to certain casters like Torch is special issue Strakhov where Beast has affinity with Sorscha and that only gives reroll failed slam/charge attack rolls(still amazing though).
    The dice gods are fickle.

A character jack can bond to a caster in which it has an affinity.

You actually can't bond Torch to Strakhov in normal games (so no giving him 4 focus). That rule is for campaigns only.

I just got reinholdt and sylys and, at least on paper, they seem to add quite a bit to eSorschas abilities. Freezing grip pseudo boosted, plus a free upkeep, plus 2 focus left over for jacks or spells is pretty good. At what points level should I look at adding them? 25 seems pretty tight. Really we need a tactica on Sylys that goes over what he can do with each of our casters. His abilities completely change the dynamic of our low focus casters.

And yeah, bonding a character with an affinity caster is in Prime.

Yes, they are decent on paper but in actual play, I don't think they are necessary. You are really bringing eSorscha for feat feat, Iron Flesh, Desperate Pace, and Boundless Charge, pretty much in that order. I've had the greatest success when I just use her for those things. Spending points to bring support pieces to get other things to work isn't worth it in my opinion.
