New to Hordes & The Thornfall Alliance

Hi all, as I have said in my title I am new to Hordes. I have been playing Khador for some time now but I really wanted to play something different, so after going over many horde books I finally found Lord Carver, BMMD, Esq III & The Thornfall Alliance.

I love everything I have read and seen of them, plus I like the idea of an army that will grow with me as a player. What I have come up with for starting out is Lord Carver & his Golden Horde.

The possible lists so far,

I assume this is Carvers theme force and not the pact force (if pact, you can't add in Targ due to lack of points). Either way, this is the exact theme list I run and have had some decent success with it, and even the games I didn't win, my opponent only scraped out a victory. You'll find that Targ+Gun Boar=Awesomesauce!

That's not 50 pts. It's only 44.

My 50 pt Carver list looks like this:

For reinforcements in scenario play I use a unit of Brigands and a unit of Slaughterhousers. It's only had success so far, and I know what you mean about a faction that grows with you. I started Cryx in MK1 Escalation, and they've by far outrun me. Also, Farrow just fit my playstyle far better.

Later you should think about expanding into Sturm & Drang, who are a bit less 'beast aggressive, or Dr. A, who plays a bit like Carver, except slower and more melee oriented.
