Default Loogit what I done went & did!! ...

    Hey Kiddies!!

As many of you know, I am not a fan of the plastic Mule/Nomad/Rover kit. What a lot of you did not know, is that I have been working for a while on a conversion to shift from Nomad to Rover and back again...

Here's the unpainted yet finished products of my mad scientistry!!

For those interested, here's the link to my little conversion journal of insanity!!

That looks pretty awesome man, but the shields seem a bit too big in my opinion. Maybe use a Bokur shield or something around that range?

HOT DAMN! those are SEXY! what are the axes from? and nah, i love the big shields, Magnus, you really out did yourself here. Seriously, those look EPIC. My only question is, if you can switch them back and fourth, why did you need 4... although the 4 of them lined up like that looks freakin cool
    Freebooter VS Nomad
This is assuming charging, and against a knocked down target with armor 20 (average d6 roll is a 3.5)
    Freebooter: 14+14=28 14+10.5=25 for a total damage of 13
    Nomad : 17+10.5=28 14+7=21 for a total damage of 9

They started life as humble Nomads...

I bit ordered the following :

    4x Nomad Right Arm
    4x Nomad Battle Blade
    4x Grundback Blaster cannon
    4x Berserker Axe

Add lots of other stuff & effort {see link above for full details!!}...

    @ Rollis :

I go big, or you go home...

    @ Canadianone :

They are fully magnetized!! As a matter of fact, I can attach the weapon arms to the magnet in the buckler...

    Not sold on the shields.

    Other than that, looking good.

    I really like them!
Probably I'm the exception but I dig the shields. They're very mercenary.
The Berserker axe solution is just pretty decent, you couldn't have done better there.
My only concern would be to change their poses a bit.
I know it's hard, but I'd try to reposition the right arm on at least 2 of them for some variety.
You just have to cut off the arm socket from the ball, put it in another position, glue it back and apply some green stuff to cover the cuts.
I would also probably swap some of the heads for additional variety. There are some cygnaran jacks that have fitting heads.
Just some spontaneous ideas, but I like the project in general very much!

They look really good. I just love the plastic kit so I don't see why you bothered :P

    I don't like the shields.

But who really cares what I think, I hope you enjoy them

You mean a position change like I did on my Rocinante conversion :

I added in a piece of brass rod for the piston shaft.

As for the heads... *shrug* I

I absolutely hate the aesthetics of the plastic kit,. Compared to the faction kits, it looks like they took a garlic bulb, and put it on it's side, and then went all Mr.Potato Head on it to me. The proportions are off on the torso something fierce, and it just looks goofy to me. I have seen then in person, and no... just no.

Hell... I am thinking of getting another metal nomad kit to make a Gallant out of.

Nice work! I actually dig the shields, you can paint something cool on the front. Also, Magnus, I'm calling you out: VELVEETA AND SHELLS IS BETTER THAN ANNIE'S MAC AND CHEESE!

While I don't hate the new plastics, they just look too different from the old Nomads (which I'm a big fan of) for my taste. Great solution to keeping the aesthetics across the board for your jacks. I'd really like to see them once they're all painted up!

i think whats getting me on the shield is the thickness, if they were 3x- 4x thicker i think they would be perfect. everything looks really good. love the axes

Doing a similar conversion to the Rocinante arm modification might work wonders too, but what I originally meant was to cut off the circular collar-like socket from the shoulder ball and to put it back in another position.
That way the right arm could point forwards for example instead of the very characteristic original backwards/sidewards position, making them less like clones.
