Both good lists, I preffer the first.

If your are going to use Marketh drop tyrant vorkesh. This will give you more flexability when deciding who to buff and where to cycle those buffs to.With the five points left over i would throw in min nihilators to add in some speed and swamping ability to the army, plus they die easily feeding marketh with souls to keep those buffs upkept

both are good. Might I suggest that Marketh be dropped unless you're planning on cycling the same spell from him each turn?

I've been thinking about using a unit of venators with Xerxis.
    Something like this:

    Tyrant Xerxis - 5
    Bronzeback Titan - 10
    Titan Gladiator - 8
Cataphract Cetrati (Leader and 5 Grunts) - 11
Paingiver Beast Handlers (Leader and 3 Grunts) - 2
Venators Reivers (Leader and 5 Grunts) - 5
    Venators Reiver Officer & Standard - 2
    Agonizer - 2

    or

    Tyrant Xerxis - 5
    Bronzeback Titan - 10
    Titan Gladiator - 8
    Aptimus Marketh - 3
Cataphract Cetrati (Leader and 3 Grunts) - 8
Paingiver Beast Handlers (Leader and 3 Grunts) - 2
Venators Reivers (Leader and 5 Grunts) - 5
    Venators Reiver Officer & Standard - 2
    Agonizer - 2

    just some possibilities.

I love the Brute with Xersis. I know it sounds a bit redudant but he really helps in a pinch ecspecially when you're playing against someone who likes to slam away Cetrati.

At 35 points I was using

    Xerxis +5
    Krea 4
    BB 10
    Brute 5
    Tyrant Commander 3
    6 Cetrati 11
    Paingiver Beast Handler 2
    Tyrant Rhadeim 5

I use Rhadeim as a flanker and with fury and feat he's killing a warcaster or really hurting a heavy.

Seems like you get much better infantry clearing ability on the to list with the Rhinodon and Orin. With all your weapon master's and such you should be able to put some hurt on armor as well.
