Default Casting the Part: Warmachine Movie

Haven't seen one of these up here for a while, so i figured i'd get the annual thread going. The premise is simple: Privateer makes a movie and asks you for help casting. Who do you pick?
We've had a couple of new books since the last time i checked one of these out, so i'm gonna pick some uncommon characters.

    MacBain - Bruce Willis
    Damiano - Hugh Jackman
    Annie DiBray - Karen O
All Warjacks - Andy Sirkus (or however it's spelled)
    Kell Bailoch - Jason Isaacs
Milo di Northryne / The Ragman - Malcolm McDowell

    Asphyxious- Bruce Spence
    Lord Rockbottom- Ian McShane
    Ashlynn- Milla Jovovich
    Broadsides Bart- M.C Gainey

OK, I'll bite. . .and, as per the last 2 times I did one of these, I'll be ridiculed, but that's sometimes the fun. . .

    Anyway,
MacBain- Paul Teutel, Sr. (has the look, and attitude, if channeled Correctly)
    Kara Sloan- Keira Knightley
    Constance Blaize- Christina Hendricks
    Vindictus- Steve Buscemi
    Thyra- Laura Prepon
    Finneus Shae- Russell Crowe

How can you say Laura Prepon for Thyra? She's a giant amazon ginger woman (Don't get me wrong, I would not kick her out of bed, but just don't see it) I see Thyra as a small, lithe, agile woman......I'm thinking maybe Natalie Portman.

The Butcher - Nathan Jones, he is about 7 feet tall and all of his lines from every movie he has ever been in is basically screaming and yelling.

I was thinking more along character lines rather than physicality. . . .Laura could play pi$$ed off widow pretty well me thinks

And I agree that Starbuck would make a great Kara SLaon, just didn't think of her since I rarely watched the show (more of a comment on my life/hours than on the show).

OOOhhh. . .just thought of a fun one. . .or two . . .Danny Devito as Grundback. . .Billy Boyd as Reinholdt

Really? No one for Nathan Fillion as Caine yet? No?

Also Coinlord.... Bruce Campbell is 54 ....Alan Rickman is 66 Besides, 54 sounds like a decent age for Magnus.....

Wow, nice! I especially like Butcher, Nemo, and Rutger.

And have you seen Bruce Campbell though? Watch Burn Notice. There's nothing Magnus about him anymore. I know he was probably designed based off of him, but...
And i've always been a fan of Collin Farrell for Caine.

I've always championed John Hurt as Nemo... Not just his overall look and age, but his acting ability. He's a more serious version of Christopher Lloyd's Doc Brown. An amazing actor - his dynamic with Hellboy in the first film seals it for me; he can bring that strict-yet-loving father figure role to Stryker.

Vinter can only be played by Sean Bean, since it's the only way to convince the audience he might die.

Sean Bean would have to play somebody who dies... Any male cryx casters that started out living? He could be goreshade going from elf to undead elf guy.

Could we work Liam Neeson in as the Butcher/Xerxis somehow?

Bruce Campbell is still kickin in Burn Notice.

Damn you beating me to sean bean part. >.>

Siege: Idris Elba. The man turns any role he plays into gold, if he plays him slightly rough like he did in Luther, it'd be perfect.

Only thing - Raul Julia, I believe, is too short. He was standing on orange crates for a lot of scenes in Street Fighter to increase his height, I heard.

As for my vote, and I've probably said this before - Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine) for Major Victoria Haley. The Apotheosis painting made me think of her at my very first glance at it.

And I could see either Michael Clark Duncan or Ving Rhames as Siege Brisbane.

And I think that Olivia Wilde would make a great Major Katherine Laddermore, as someone else pointed out before.

Also, with the right hairstyle, I think that Angelina Jolie, with slightly paler skintone, would make a decent Forward Kommander Sorscha Kratikoff. At least the art from Apotheosis seems to give her the lips for it.

    My 2 crowns,
