Thread: Striders Arrows

    Default Striders Arrows

I am assembling a unit of Striders and noticed they come with 4 small arrows. I can't see anywhere in the studio pictures where they are supposed to go so I thought I would ask the forums. Are they supposed to go somewhere I am just not seeing or are they just small and a pain to attach so people don't bother with them, (including the PP studio apparently...)?

In my experience (and generally across my meta), people just leave them off. Not only are they small and a pain, they're not in scale with the rest of the mini (the heads and tails are way too big).

I stuck one in the haunch of a shredder.

Who needs a warlock to make them generate fury?

I put them on mine and it wasn't really a problem. I think they look better with them. It adds another detail to the model and the whole 'shooting invisible arrows' thing that the majority of the archers do is sort of silly. Not having bowstrings I can understand, but no arrows?

Lanz can you show us a pic of your Striders with the arrows on them?

Nice! Yeah, I kept them around thinking I might use them as basing bits or some such thing, but this looks like a great use of the arrows.

They are so ridiculously out of scale that I just find them silly. They're almost a good size for the Nephilim Bolt Thrower, but I just left mine in the bitz box were they will probably lie until the end of time (or until I need a thin rod of some sort, in which case clipping of the tip and feathering might result in something useful.)

    ... IMO.

Sure. I'll snap some pics of them in the morning if I remember.

Mine are stuck in the bases of either the kneeling strider or P Lylyth.
