    Default Mispack Annoyances >_< Minuteman...

Now before anyone chimes in about the replacement parts portal, the store in question's doing it etc.

Went down to get my Minuteman today, special ordered so they'd be sure to get one for me...there were two different ones and BOTH were missing the head and jump jets @_@. I can only assume they're all on the same metal sprue...

No crazy dancing robots for me for now it seems >_>

They are on the same sprue. My order of two came with all pieces. Sorry for your luck!

these threads seem to pop up more an more. reminds me of yesterday. a bloke got into cryx buys his starter and the right arm of the slayer is missing. ok, the store owner handled it like a pro. opened another box to give the customer the right arm. hmmm the right arm was in there. however one leg was broken, the right arm claws were miscast and the third claw, the one you have to glue to the arm, was missing.
what is the dude doing who is putting that stuff in the box???

I've seemed to have terrible luck the last six months or so. Two Ravagores both missing the same torso piece. I can easily understand when I'm missing some sword arms from ten-man boxes like Hex Hunters and such, but the same fairly large piece missing from two heavy kits really irked me.

Don't get me wrong, the replacement portal is great. I've had ever issue rectified through there to my satisfaction.

It's just that having to jump through hoops and wait an extra two weeks still smacks heavily of disappointment.

Yeah, ditto on the missing or miscast parts. Before these last 6 months, I've never had an issue. We're doing a journeyman league, so I'm building like a fiend, but still having to send a number of requests to the parts portal. All have been handled in a quick and professional manner, which is all I can really ask for.

I've gotta assume it's part of their ramping up product, they have people who are less familiar with the product, and are more likely to leave something out.
If you don't know what something does, you've probably already lost.

I've just recently had my first ever mispack in years of purchasing far more PP miniatures than is probably healthy. It was in a parts order from the online store - the invoice clearly says 1 left gun carriage gun and 1 right gun carriage gun, but I got 2 of the left gun instead. Interestingly enough, I just looked on the online store, and it's got a picture of the left gun identified as the right gun, and vice-versa.

my store got atleast 10, all with no bases and extra left arms. wasn't a huge deal but i bet there are a ton of minutemen somewhere missing left arms.

personally in 7+ years of buying PP stuff ive had 2 mispacks (extra IFP bodies) and 2 scaverous left arms instead of a right which were both resolved very quickly.

Mine had two left arms. If anybody got two right arms, maybe we can trade.

PP is just BAD at production. Delay after delay after delay, with quality control issues up the whazoo. One person is a mistake. Two people is unfortunate. A parade of people with these issues means serious trouble and lost profits.

To be fair it seems most miniature companies that deal with high volume have these issues , it's why they have the replacement portal and are generally awesome at getting it back to you. Hell even companies that specialize in high end models can have issues with miscasts and parts missing so c'est la vie it's not just Privateer Press.

I got one with two left arms.
Thankfully, PP has since sent me a right one.

I am ordering two MM's so I hope they come to me correctly considering I live in New Zealand and it takes ages to get anything from the U.S.

So far to date have had issues with:

Leviathan: front legs two of the same
    Harrower: missing shoulder pad
Satyx raiders: missing a grunts body
    Alt-journeyman: broken sword

all four occasions they were replaced but it took weeks due to being so far away. The portal is good but I wish I hadn't had to use them.

    Cheers
    LGW

    Only things I've had were

    - a wrong body on an ogrun assault corp... 2 leader bodies and 1 missing grunt body (I just modded it to work so I have a unique ogrun now)
    - broken Barnabas back piece (they sent a replacement)
    - miscast bone grinder missing a leg. (I modded him a peg leg... one of my favorite models now.)

Nothing recently though. Fortunately my 2 Minutemen are all there.
