Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum and Hordes/Warmachine in general. I am preparing a 35 point list for an upcoming tourney. Unfortunately, I'm a little undecided between two eKrueger lists so I hope to find some advice here.
To start with, I do not have pEiryss, so a "Wake of Destruction"-Tier list is not an option, nor do I have the Gallows Grove models.
The first list is:
EKrueger (+5pts)
- Megalith (11 pts)
- Wold Warden (9 pts)
- Warpwolf Stalker (10 pts)
Stoneward & Woldstalkers (5 pts)
Shifting Stones & UA (3 pts)
For the last two points I consider talking a Blackclad or Druid Wilder.
So the idea is to have two Geomancers with Megalith and the Warden to have access to gallows and TK shenanigans and to put out up to three Lightning Storms early in the game to deal with (screening) infantry.
The Warden's animus should be useful to let the stalker benefit from prowl in the first turns. The stalker has the role of the heavy hitter. The idea is to support him by Megalith's animus late game to (hopefully) easy hitting and boosted damage rolls. The woldstalkers are there to hand out more range threats (appart from gallows and lightning storm) while the stones should do what they are famous for - and to heal the constructs if necessary.
While the Blackclad could add 2" to threat ranges via hunter's mark the druid wilder could be used to hand out the stalker's animus for free and save fury to boost attacks.
List number two:
EKrueger (+5 pts)
- Megalith (11 pts)
- Wold Guardian (9 pts)
- Wold Wyrd (5 pts)
Druids+UA (9 pts)
Shifting Stones (2 pts)
Again, I am indecisive about the last 4 points. I tend between either the lord of the feast or a second unit of shifting stones and a Blackclad.
In this list, Megalith is a again a supporter with geomancy and his animus while the Guardian is the heavy hitter. I included the Wold Wyrd on the one hand to not run into fury shortage and on the other hand to hunt down buffed infantry. The purpose of the druids is to protect the army via clouds and countermagic and to push/pull as usual. There is a little redundance with the wyrd on the counter magic aspect, I know.
The lord of the feast would be used against infantry, too, or to take care of enemy solos while the second unit of shifting stones should add mobility to the somewhat slow guardian. Moreover, the Blackclad should again be mainly used to increase threat ranges.
What do you think about the two lists? Unfortunately, I do not know what factions to expect at the tourney. Any advice?
Thanks!
Edit: Removed some misspellings...
