No target trample for extra move

If I have no models in the line i move can a Pureblood warpwolf trample getting the +3 inches movement as a power attack and then be forced to make its spray attack because no melee attack rolls were made?
My understanding is that the power attack would replace all the initial attacks but you can still buy attacks afterward.

You can make the trample, but you cannot buy the spray.

Reason is this: Trample will indeed replace your initials, but you can only buy additional melee attacks after making a melee special attack. Trample, wether or not you do in fact get to roll any attacks, is a melee attack.

This is correct. No Tramples + Spray. You may trample over nothing for movement and make Melee attacks by buying afterwards however, regardless if you pass over other models or not.

cant spray since it choose to do a power attack which is by default a melee attack, you would need virtuoso to be able to make the ranged attack after.

trample by definition doesnt use a target, just choose a direction
