Rok's animus and the new dire troll plastic kit have combined super-powers in an effort to get me to model and field Rok in a pMadrak beast brick of doom. Primal is just what many of our light warbeasts needed to raise them up to more suitable levels of butt kickery. Because when my Primal'ed, Carnage'd, Kriel Stoned' Swamp Troll charges and scraps your Conquest, you won't be laughing. Ok, maybe Rok won't make him that good, but you get the picture...
Like every dire troll before him, Rok suffers from gaps, gaps, gaps, especially around the waste. Here I used liquid green stuff for the first time and am pretty impressed with it. It won't bridge a large gap, but you can fill crevices with it and build it up to fill slightly bigger ones as well. Plus it waters down like paint to make it easier to work with...
Here I used grey stuff to try and hide the hump-back. Also, in assembling Rok I pinned every joint on both arms, as will as pinned his feet to the base. Did it need it? Maybe and maybe not. But after spending all the time it takes to paint a model, I just can't stand to move it onto a hill on the game board, have it accidentally fall over, and then break apart...
Filled in some of the deep recesses down the back to make it more seamless...
