Default Need help with 25pts Kromac

So thinking about testing some Circle but can't really decide what to go for except for that i want Kromac and Ghetorix. I'm interested in several models and would be in eternal gratitude if you guys could give me some advice for 1 or 2 lists with theese units that i could try out.

    Gorax
    Gnarlhorn Satyr
    Pureblood Warpwolf
    Shadowhorn Satyr
    Shifting Stones
    Stone keeper
    Tharn Wolfriders
    Druid Wilder

    Advice is needed

You need a warpwolf stalker with Kromac to do his best set of tricks, which is mostly hit and run. I recommend magnetising the plastic kit so you can get several wolves out of it.

Stones and keeper are good, and the Gnarlhorn can have its uses with Kromac. But Kromac and two big wolves takes up 17 points. another three should probably be stones. So with five points left I'd take a gorax and swamp gobbers.

Ok, so you don't recommend running Kromac without a warpwolf stalker?

Absolutely not, the Stalker's animus is too valuable.

Any good Kromac army also needs Warpath triggers, so that ideally means 1 or more ranged units.

I have run the following Kromac list at 25-points with a decent level of success:

    Kromac
    - Warpwolf Stalker (the Lightning Strike animus is essential for Kromac)
    - Gorax (good all-round light, with Fury 4 and Primal animus for when you absolutely need it to put down a Heavy)
Wold Stalker unit (these guys trigger my Warpath moves)
    Shifting Stones + UA
Lord Of The Feast (Inviolable Resolve target. He is a nightmare for infantry units, and used primarily to clear units from objectives. With IR he is also pretty resilient to counter-attack)
Druid Wilder (to cast your animi, so Kromac/Warbeasts don't have to waste Fury doing it)
Swamp Gobbers (smoke cloud = Stealth for the Stalker)

This list is a little light on Warbeasts, so you must learn to use Warpath and Sprint to keep your Beasts alive. You already own many of the models in the list, so maybe you could proxy the rest and give it a try. As an alternative the Wold Stalkers could be switched out for 6 Blood Trackers (the army pretty much requires a ranged unit, so options here are limited), and the LotF for anything that takes your fancy for 4 points. The rest of the list is pretty much fixed, as all of the remaining components are required for Kromac to run optimally. 25-points is pretty tight, unfortunately.

Thanks for the advice, as i'm completly new to the circle could you explain how to use sprint and warpatch to stay alive? Won't the enemy get freestrikes on me if i run away from them after hitting them?

And secondly is there possible to make a 25pts kormac list with ghetorix or do I need 35pts, or even more? All help welcome as i really like the Circle but don't fully grasp how i should play them yet.

I personally wouldn't include Ghetorix until at least 35 points. As I alluded to above, Kromac has a number of 'must-haves' in his army which, once selected, simply don't leave enough points remaining to include Ghetorix at 25 points.

Lightning Strike and Warpath both trigger on 'model destroyed'. Between this caveat and the Stalker's Berserk option, you should not be suffering free strikes as a result these abilities as everything in your melee range should be dead!

Warpath is triggered when any friendly faction model kills an enemy in Kromac's control area. When an enemy model is killed, a Warbeast in your Battlegroup may advance 3". It can therefore be used to extend the threat range of your Warbeasts (e.g. shoot something dead with Wold Stalkers, move Beast 3" forward, now activate Beast), or to move them further to safety after killing something themselves (e.g. cast Lightning Strike on Stalker, kill something with Stalker, retreat 6" due to Lightning Strike, then reposition a further 3" due to Warpath). Each Beast can only get one Warpath move per turn though, so you cannot benefit from both options!
