Default Khador, 6th division Reserves Scheme.

Ok so it didn't start as 6th Division Reserves, but i did want it fluffy. i only have some teasers right now, 2 of my min Bombardiers. in front of me is the leader of the Bombardiers leader waiting the wash. as well a min unit of Demo Corps and my drakhun. as well my devestater. my Spriggan is complete but no pics ATM. so without further ado here ar ethe pics of my Bombardiers. i still don't have fluff on the scheme or anything but i am certain it will come once my 100pts+ is painted. i also have a Khador BB and Cygnar BB painted mostly to standard colors. well the closest i can get with wal-mart acrylics.

Alright here is my Drakhun. i havn't gotten Pics yet but his Dismount is finished as well.
Sadly i dropped him after this Pic and broke the leg and had to reglue it. it looks fine but once i got back over the Horse Fur and do some animal details to the horse that very hard to see crack int he paint will be gone.

And for some further Enticement while i look for my camera to get updated photos. Here is the WIP shots of my Beast-09 Conversion.
the Rivets are all from a Iron-On Rhinestone clothing pattern from Wally World. since i don't have 40k bits i had to do the rings on the thighs myself.
My Conversion was based on CrimsonGuard's Work here...

My Beast-09 currently sits completed actually. the actual Beast-09 Cowl was a perfect size, so after some shaving of the Plastic kit and the beast-09 Cowl the fit is phenomenal as well the head is in place and i solved my issue with shoulder spikes... i have a few Warhammer Fantasy bits, including Goblin spearmen arms... 6 spear tips later Beast-09 has shoulder Spikes.

Awesome scheme, and I love the modifications on the Juggernaut. I paint my guys in a grey-red scheme, too, so yours are a great extra inspiration. I really want that Drakhun model now.

Ok so first up for show is my Completed Beast-09 conversion. this is my pride and joy currently. this is the first time i have done a conversion and to the extent i have done. the actual Beast-09 Cowl was a perfect size, so after some shaving of the Plastic kit and the beast-09 Cowl the fit is phenomenal as well the head is in place and i solved my issue with shoulder spikes... i have a few Warhammer Fantasy bits, including Goblin spearmen arms... 6 spear tips later Beast-09 has shoulder Spikes. The Axe head was the original Juggernaut Ax head flipped around and extended with Solid 14 gauge copper wire(Cheaper then Brass rods, just as effective.) the shoulders are glued and pined in place. the pins gave me rivets as well. i am considering filing the pin nubs and putting on another Iron-On Rhinestone thats larger. however this looks pretty good. The Inspiration for this came from CrimsonGuard's Beast-09 Conversion he did. i mimicked several things on my build.

And lets add in here a Group shot of the Minimum Unit of Bombardiers.

Now for my Only Jack i painted to Scheme.
My Spriggan, on of my favorite jacks to play. still working on a Harky list but i am thinking Harky, B-Ivan, Spriggan, Beast-09. maybe Drago instead of Spriggan =]

And for good measure, heres my group Shot of my Models i painted. i have more now but no pics yet.

Nice work on the beast conversion. I really like that you added the rings on the thigh pads, those little details help distinguish him as Beast. I'm also keen on the oversized spikes, and the pose looks good as well.

The Cowl fitted on there is what helps him be distinguished IMO lol

I like the colorscheme. The lighter grey makes them definately more like they belong in a cold enviroment. I prefer it over the usual yellowish white scheme you see often on Khador army's. However I think you can improve the models a lot by defining the metal parts of the models. Ofcourse it could be the camera, but on the manowar the legs look completely flat; it's hard to tell what's armor and what's mechanical. Id redo the mechanical parts by washing them with Badab Black and then do a quick highlight of mithril silver to make them pop.

Your Beast-09 conversion looks great. The rongs on the legs turned out better then I'd expected and the large shouderspikjes make him definately stand out. BTW, I always thought they ment the part with the runes when people referred to the cowl, but I guess you mean the part below the head, right?

I like it - looks great! For my own preference, the grey is not quite as dark as what I had in mind for my color scheme. I'm thinking more of a Panzer grey color for mine.

I really like it too. Mine will be a similar scheme, only with a different grey. And the Beast conversion really rocks.

ok so i finished my Demo Corps last night and i tried something. i put red on the toes and heals of the Demo Corps on top of the rest of the scheme. i think it turned out good and brings some life to the lower legs. i used a Boltgun Metal for the Shocks and joints. and then Mithril Silver for the Ornamental. they turned out really good. i need to blacken the Khardic Anvil on the Demo's left Shoulders, cept officer. that way they match my Bombardiers better. they look better witht he reddened toes and heels. so ill be going and adding that to my Drakhun, Dismount, and Bombardiers. right now i have a devestator and some commissioned work first.

What did you do to bend the plasticard for Beast 09's shoulders? Did you heat it, or just bend it by hand?

And here ar ea couple quick Shots of my Demo Corps. these have one minor detail difference over the rest of the MoW i Painted. Red Toes and Heels. As well i couldn't reposition them due to being in a 50p battle that was on pause. so they were quick shots. that game is over so ill try to get a better shot of them.

Looking good! I like the darker approach you've taken And I love the light colored horse for the Drakhun. Might have to steal that idea...
