Been doing really well with this list lately (Ossyan 35)

Running Invictors down the center with Quicken, deploy Griffon hugging their right flank Hypnos on your right side. Arcanists shelter behind them, bestow utility as needed. Mage Hunters, deploy AD on the left but I don't let them get too far ahead of the army. Eiryss has her usual utility but is particularly useful if you can put Hypnos in a position to arc Arcantrik Bolt onto two jacks- Eiryss and void lock will fairly reliably shut down two jacks. Less effective against hordes. Really love charging a stationary jack with the MHA- esp. lights if available.

Griffon is VERY tough for his points, an often overlooked jack in our faction. Boost him to pow 15 for respectable output. I initially marshalled him to the Invictors but being able to fully load him late game is too useful. Still going back and forth on this. Any way I've been on a minor winning streak with this list (3 games, Legion-Cygnar-Cryx) one of which I tabled pStryker while losing only 3 Invictors.

Looks very similar to the 35pt Ossyan list I've been running the last two weeks:

My deployment is similar to yours with Manticore where you drop the Griffon. Not having Sylys puts a bit more strain on Ossy's focus and I miss the threat the MHA can put on their flank but have found that the combo of the Invictors and a 3 focus Manticore does a lot of damage on the feat turn. Plus it has the option of a P+S 20 Manticore to clean up in melee (have found most of my foes target Hypnos and the Invictors first).

I can see the virtue of the Manticore, such a great 'jack. I like the Griffon for his reach utility with the invictors- being able to engage the enemy model while still allowing as many Invictors as possible on them is nice. We also have a VERY Warmachiney meta right now, which is why I've been favoring Sylas- being able to reliably sneak damage in to stationary those enemy 'jacks is so vital. If I was playing more against Hordes I'd probably consider cutting him. You're right about the Invictors as the prime target- it's almost enough to make me want soulless escort/ Discordia/ artificer on them, but the points just aren't there.

*nods* - one version of my list drops eEiryss for an MHA and Souless Escort for the Invictors . . . but my current meta also features more Warmachine than Hordes so I couldn't leave her on the sidelines.
