Default Two Rhulic Warcaster 50pt steamroller viable?

The question I'm posing is there enough options and variety available to Gorten and Durgen to take them both as a competitively viable pair for a 50 point steam roller?

I am currently trying to make them work with Durgen as Highborn and Gorten as 4* to give me more options. If Nyss weren't character it'd be a lot easier in my opinion.

I play them in SR events. I think they are very viable. The only character you are really missing out on is Thor.

Personally I run Thor with Gorten.

Nope. I dont run any of those guys in SR play. I dont feel they are high enough caliber over something like Wrongeye or Rorsch for lessers and I find Corbeau to be a much better point sink than Rockbottom for the command and movement bonus. Godrun is three points that can be better spent on Eliminators or Eiryss. In Searforge sure I would agree but not 4Star which is where both really ahine.

The one word answer for the OP question: Absolutely.

I suppose it depends how you define 'competitively viable'.

But if you make the list sufficiently different and aren't going searforge/searforge, it can probably work very well. I've run Durgen lists that I'd be happy to take Gorten along with as a second to patch up some weakish matchups, for example.

If only Searforge got a character restriction exemption for being such a small force. But alas, getting a 50 point list without Thor is pretty tough to overcome or use well.

But at 35 points, I think you could put together two decent lists there perhaps.

I disagree... You just need more troops and warjacks, as well as a few well placed Ogrun Bokurs.

I've been using Gorten in tournaments since 2010 or so, and I've never regretted it. I usually only ran the 1 list. Recently I decided to put more time into Durgen, and have a list with him as well. I'd absolutely (and plan to) run them in any and all tournament settings I can this year. I run Gorten straight Searforge, and Durgen as Highborn. Both lists have done really well so far in casual scenario games, so I'm hoping for the best.
