    Default Understanding Purification

Just got into Menoth, and the wording on one of the Kreoss spells has me seeking clarification.

I'm playing PKreoss. I have lamentation up on him, defender's ward up on a unit of bastions, are coming upon a squad of winter guard with iron flesh active, and both a bastion and a winter guardsmen are on fire. If everything is within Kreoss' control radius, and I cast Purification, can someone tell me which effects are affected and which (if any) are not?

Purification will get rid of all upkeeps (both yours and your opponents), animi (none in this example) and continuous effects.

So if you cast it, Defender's ward, Lamentation, Iron Flesh, and both fires will go out.

If everything is in the radius, everything will be removed. Since purification gets rid of all upkeep spells, continuous effects, and animi it will get rid of the fire continuous effects, your opponent's Iron Flesh upkeep spell, and your Lamentation and Defender's Ward upkeep spells. Purification does not make a distinction between your upkeep spells and your opponent's.
Genius and insanity are separated only by varying degrees of success...

If you cast Purification all your mentioned spells an effects will expire.

    Lamentation: upkeep
    Defenders Ward: upkeep
    Iron Flesh: upkeep
    Cont. Fire: cont. effect

Yeah that's what I thought was the case. I was hoping there might have been a funky ruling saying "Lamentation is outside the control radius because the control radius begins at the end of the war caster." Or something silly like that. >,<

A warcaster is within their own control area anyway:

It reads the rulebook or it gets the hose again.
