Its true character restrictions make it more admirable when we win and we can win regardless, anyone saying that mercs are not at a noted disadvantage compared to the other factions in a character restriction environment is simply uninformed.

I personally feel this issue hasn't so much to do with the character restrictions as it does the lack of UA's for our units. With no UA's to support our basic infantry we need to get that support elsewhere and at the moment the only places are character solos and warcasters. This creates the problem of "if i run halberdiers i want the piper, however if i want them in the 2nd list as well they may have to run unsupported".

This seems to be the one area in which the normal factions have still got over us. I guess in short....i want UA's for my steelheads so i don't feel like i have to bring rhupert crutch corvolo to every sinlge list. Yes the highshields have one but its not enough!

In reflection on a tournament i went to only a few weeks ago, while the character restrictions hardly made me doubt the lists on paper it was on the table i noticed the lack of certain things.
