Default Fluff collection (mainly for PP)

    Hi guys at PP,

Being still pretty new to Warmahordes, I am wondering, what are the chances of collecting all the fluff from all the different books, and putting them out in a book form, or a download form,???

I for one would certainly buy it, and am pretty sure many others would too.

    Just sayin :-)

I know it's unlikely, but I would like to toss my hat in the ring in support of this one. I would love a pdf of the collected fluff from the books and pertinent stuff from old magazines. I only started in MKII, and have had many moments like "wait a minute, Baldur's dead? how'd that happen?"

New things like the plastic kits and 2-player battleboxes are making it really easy to attract new players to the game. I guess I'd just like to see something that does the same for the fluff side of the world.

This comes up every month.....There are plenty of people that want it that are on these forums but it seems we are beating a dead horse at the moment.

I play Khador, Minions, and soon to be Convergence of Cyriss.

Yeah, stick me on the 'want that please' list. It would be great to have them in an electronic format for download. A lot less fuss than printing!

Folks have been asking for this for nearly six years - SIX YEARS!!!

PP has heard us, they know we want the story collected in one awesome book. At this point, all we can do is give them gentle reminders & be patient...

As a lore addict, I can say, yes it is possible to get all the old fluff from the old books and no quarters by slowly tracking them down. Not saying I wouldn't want a focused collection of stuff from Privatieer, but if you want it, just start hounding E-Bay, and talk to experienced players who played in mark 1 and see if you can buy their older stuff.

And the week before that, and the week before that, and the week before that... It's kinda reoccuring, like the "focus vs fury" argument, only this one is largely everyone agreeing

Any game you walk away from knowing why it ended, and how to repeat or avoid that conclusion in the future, is a victory.

Well sorry if I missed this last week, but at least I am trying to get to the right people, so is it that bad, if we keep at it, maybe the people at PP, can see that they have a really income source, for very little corralting work.

I don't think the "let's nag at them till they get tired and do as we want" is the right way to go with PP. Like MagnusTheJust said, PP has heard our request more than enough times already.

PP has also said that collecting all the background story pieces from the old books, No Quarters, League materials, etc., and editing them into a coherent product, would be so laborious that they don't currently have the manpower to do that - they can't just reallocate Doug, Simon or Aeryn from their other projects.

Really. It does take a lot more than just copy-pasteing if they want to release a PP-quality standard product.

I think with all of these people, shouldnt we be able to make a fluff Wiki of everything. That would help at least the basics
Looking forward to Epic Vlad on his Battle Cattle.

Slight flaw - then you get into the whole "fandom vs. IP" fuzzy grey area...

Its hardly a grey area. We cant copy+paste, but we can give overall views of events.

"The Boarsgate massacre was an event during 587 AR within the region of Boarsgate in Khador.

Orsus Zoktavir (Link) goes berserk over the belligerence of a number of Khadoran traitors, in his rage he kills 88 men and women of both the offending party and his own retinue who attempted to subdue the massacre.

Among the dead was the father of Sorscha Kratikoff (Link), Sorscha survived at the age of 13. This was the beginning of the long feud between Orsus Zoktavir and Sorscha Kratikoff which come to head in events such as The Attack at Fellig (link)

This event was exonerated by Queen Ayn Vanar (link), as she said "no true Khadoran would do anything less" *Source*.

It was this that gave Orsus Zoktavir his title, the Butcher of Khardov."

Seems rather easy to do, really.
Looking forward to Epic Vlad on his Battle Cattle.

Wookiepedia and a dozen other can support this possibility. So long as you're not just ripping the stories out line by line, you should be good.
