Harby and VoJ

Ok so i keep hearing that harby is good with the VoJ i'm just wanting to get any opinions possible to see what they think before picking it up. any help would be appreciated.

Off the top of my head, (without looking anything up) I would say that,

She can stand behind it! sounds great to me.

Doors of judgment and martyrdom together can make people hate dealing with warrior models!

Think that is all I got off of the top of my head. I am sure someone will give you a more scientific answer... just rambling.

Yeah, her spells don't really do anything for it since Guided Hand can't be used on Ranged Attacks and Crusaders Call requires you to charge (which the VoJ can't do). Cleanse is also somewhat redundant with Purification. Basically it's a big mobile bunker for her to hide behind.

I had some good success with the vessel and harby. Between door of judgement, martyrdom, and self sac there is an absurd amount of denial.

I never once used it as a LOS blocker to harby. It gets in the way. I always run it to a side.

I tried it a few times with an infantry spammy list. I thought doors of judgement would be better than it is. But I really like the VoJ with her because I run infantry spam that's heavy melee. Something about the VoJ makes people want to charge it lol and when they do I counter them.
Or if they don't deal with it it can take out a lot of infantry or hurt some heavies

I don't see about Harby that screams take the VoJ but I like to camp focus w harby so it'd harder to assassinate her so VoJ helps w that too.

Also just like FC17 I never use it to block LOS it gets in the way and messes things up too much like that. It's always on the side

You can put any of our casters in the blank, and the answer is yes. The vessel would not be out of place with any of our casters.

If people are charging the VoJ you probably have it too far forward. It has no melee weapons, there's no reason to get it any closer than about 10-12" from the enemy.

I play-tested the vessel with efeora, but never liked it. It seemed like a vanquisher was always a better choice than the vessel. Though I know at least one case were it been successful with her, so it could just be a play-style thing.

I've been play testing the vessel with efeora and I found some interesting results. The vessels eruption of faith has done many miracles for me, it pushes away quick jammers like daughters, kayazy, satyrxs and sets them on fire which helps feora's feat. The adonmisher effect from its range weapon is also nice to snipe out some anoying solos that are immune to our fire ( I got you gorman!). It might be a meta thing as well since my meta is choke full of legion players, having another model that is immune to fire is a godsend to the endless Elylyth shooty spam list. It also saved me once from saeyrn's feat turn by pushing his beast away with the VOJ and shooting them to death.

Yeah, playstyle and meta, methinks. Our area is only moderately infantry heavy, so usually a bonded redeemer and a single vanquisher is enough for my fire needs that I can switch out the second vanquisher for a vessel.

As most others have suggested it combines well w/ Harby as a warrior model denial engine. I love it w/ errants and Bastions. Bastions are incredibly annoying as is... now you can martyr them, then use doors of judgement on them for one final blow...good times indeed! : )

I just ran a tournament with harby and the VoJ (check out the posting in the list section). With paladins and bastions the combo is simply amazing and is a ton of fun. It is not easy by any stretch of the imagination, but is incredibly fun and effective. I highly recommend it.

VOJ, Harby and tons of KEs it pretty powerful. Seneschals are already gruesome with Harby. And you can take three menofixers.

I like harby with the VOJ just because she can hide behind it that and you dont need 3 crusaders guarding her at all times. cheers everyone
