For Damiano, you will have a core group of models (Rocky, Steelhead Halbs, possibly more SH) regardless of contract, so it depends on what you want to fill in the remaining points. If you want to run Kayazy and Underboss, you could get some good mileage out of minifeating Kayazy on feat turn - this would mean 4*. If you want the Arcane Tempest Gun Mage/Mule - critical devestation shenanigans, or Death Marched, feat turned Forgeguard (Mat 9, Pow 14 weapon master with Vengeance and ARM 21? Yes, please!) you need to go with Highborn.

My list is Highborn, and everything except Damiano, his one jack, A&H, and pAlexia advance deploy. It's awesome.

I prefer HBC simply because I only play 4* for WE&SJ or Kayazy and my 4* Gorten list gets WE&SJ. Forgeguard run well with him.
