Default Mohsar 35 pt. Troubles against Cryx

So... I just got done playing my first few games with Mohsar. Neither game went too terribly poorly, but I got spell assassinated in both games because I didn't leave any fury on him.

    I was running Mohsar
Megalith (obvious synergies all over the place)
Gnarlhorn (bounding on megalith is just good + slamming into pillars)
Max Ravagers w/ Chieftan (My thought was that with mirage these guys would be pretty sweet, but that was not the case)
    Min Wolves (teleport food)
Morraig (good with wolves running around)
Gallows Grove (flat out fantastic with mohsar)

Two games against different cryx players left me feeling like the list was lacking. Effectively no feat & no living models for the ravagers. And the first game was against denegra who cast crippling grasp on the ravagers, which 100% ruins ravagers.

I'm a huge fan of ravagers (model wise, not really rules wise) and so try to find a place for them in every list. But I think I am going to have to bench them with Mohsar.

    Here is my revised list:
    Megalith
    Gnarlhorn
    Celestial Fulcrum
    Woldstalkers
    Gallows
    Sentry Stone
    Sentry Stone

Very different... The general concept is stall. Stall with pillars, forest templates, megalith's animus & cloud effects while the fulcrum and two sentry stones accumulate tokens.

I'm trying to do something different than the traditional druid or bloodtracker lists that mohsar usually uses.

If you're looking to be able to put some hurt on Cryx your 2nd list does ok at 35 points probably. I don't know that I like Mohsar with only 2 warbeasts, but it might be ok. The Fulcrum, if you can keep it protected should be good against Cryx infantry, pillars are going to be important there. Woldstalkers are good for softening up a target, or chewing through some infantry.

If you end up playing against anything with some decent armor this list is still going to have a lot of trouble. You can get to POW 18 with Megalith, but that's still not going to be the best against a few other lists. I'd consider cutting out the Sentry Stones honestly. 6 points is a lot to put in a 35 point list just to throw out disrupting forests. They're good against low DEF infantry because the spray will actually do a great job.

    What were your opponent's using?
Did they have spelly casters? If so, you do indeed have a feat vs. the Arc Nodes.

YES, Ravagers lose alot of effectiveness vs. undead, but not everything in Cryx is undead, and they are generally light on shooting.

Personally, I started with Mohsar and Ravagers. You can feat early to pre-empt him from apply Crippling Grasp, in addition you can block Line Of Sight with pillars. Plus, pDenny is said to be one of the best casters out there, so it will be indeed an uphill climb.

I like the Gnarlhorn model and rules, but I don't think it's something he 'needs'.
