By the way, do we have some information about common ritual gestures, i.e. the equivalents of the sign of the cross, the mano cornuto (\m/), the Hindu(?) touching of the feet, genuflection etc.? As that's easily done on the table, it would be a nice addition to role-playing.
Looking at the current Morrow symbol, I could imagine one of the following:
- Hand from groin/stomach to eihter middle of the sternum or the neck, then descending slightly to start a clockwise circle.
- Hand coming up along middle of the body, turning in a curve towards the heart, straight motion to other nipple, then with a slight curve back to the middle and upwards, stopping either at the forehead or above the head.
For Thamar, a broken circle, counter-clockwise, starting at north west, to north east seems good enogh. That's also easy to hide, if you just do it with your fingers. (With enough imagination, one could also see a cornuto as a broken circle. But then you might as well throw down your "west coast" sign to represent the three downward spikes. Erm, yo.)
Thinking of it, a given the upper part of Morrow's radiance, a clockwise circle starting from S might be a quick version, too. Maybe as a quckie sign vs. evil…
For Menoth I'm not quite sure. Yes, you could make the sign of the cross, but that's too obvious and won't work for our Irish and Polish gamers at all. As the symbol represents a stick figure, mabe just spreading your arms. Or raising both your hadns from the bottom, spreading at your chest, then coming together and raising them high. Or a shaka sign with your index finger extended…
No need for Toruk, as a) he doesn't care and b) quite a few members might miss some significant digits and aren't as limber anyway.
