Journeyman league: plans for Mohsar
One of the gaming stores in town is going to run a journeyman league starting in a couple of weeks and I'm taking this as an opportunity to start up Circle, something I've been planning for some time. The rules have been changed a bit from the standard, so the first list can only contain beasts/jacks and the caster, so no shifting stones.
The list I was thinking of starting with this list:
Mohsar the Desertwalker* +5 points
* Feral Warpwolf* 9 points
* Gorax* 4 points
* Shadowhorn Satyr* 7 points
I'd love to try him with a megalith and wold warden but I can't afford those and with the list above I only have to get the Satyr. I love the idea of that beast, even though he is ridiculously pillow fisted. Would prefer a Gnarlhorn but it can't fit unless I switch to a caster with 6 warbeast points.
The list could probably try and avoid opponents jacks and beasts to a pretty nice extent. Throwing, slamming, blocking and walking through them to put the pressure on opponent casters/locks.
At 20 and 25 I'll use Bloodtrackers of varying size but I don't really know what I'll do at 35. Shifting stones and Gnarlhorn I think. I just wonder if Bloodtrackers are worthwhile as a min unit or should I use a Woldwyrd I have lying about instead? Any other comments?

I don't think that you will get a great deal of mileage out of either the Feral or Shadowhorn with Mohsar. If I were to rank our Beasts in order of usefulness with Mohsar, it would look something like this:
1. Megalith
2. Warpwolf Stalker
3. Pureblood Warpwolf
4. Gorax
5. Gnarlhorn Satyr
6. Woldwarden
7. Feral Warpwolf
8. Everything else
It seems a little crazy to try to start a 'build your own' Journeyman League without the optimal Beasts for your chosen Warlock - you will be locked into this battlegroup for the foreseeable future, after all. Do you have access to any of the higher priority Beasts? If not, what Beasts are you able to field? - there may be a better Caster choice for you.
Could you start with say a Stalker and Pureblood and play a point down?

I've got: feral, gorax, wold guardian, wold wyrd and wold watcher! So I will have to buy something I guess. Just wonder what. Maybe get something big instead of gorax + shafowhorn

A Stalker, Gorax and either Feral or Wold Guardian would be an excellent battlegroup for Kromac. You would only have to get yourself a Stalker, and they are comparable in price to the Shadowhorn you were thinking of buying anyway. Maybe you could go with Kromac instead and field Kromac, Stalker and Feral/Wold Guardian at 15 points? Your current Warbeast selection really isn't that well suited to Mohsar.
If you were to stick with Mohsar, I'd recommend you invest in a Stalker and Pureblood, or Megalith and a Pureblood; though you may struggle to crack heavy armour at 15 points if you select the latter.

Or you stick with Mohsar and get yourself Megalith. Together with the gorax and a Woldwyrd you are fine.
In the next phase you want a stalker and then you can start with infantry. The fury 8(9) lock can easily handle 4 beasts. In small point games Mohsar is happy putting pillars everywhere, use geomancy for the offensive stuff. His playstyle changes later.

I appreciate the input very much guys, thanks a lot
Kromac would be really fun and him, a stalker and a Guardian would be nice at 15p. Might go for that instead and put in a Gorax at 20p. Or I might just stick to Moshar and get a Megalith, he should be able to crack stuff thanks to primal and curse of shadows. And since he's a construct he shouldn't frenzy either right? Or does that only mean he doesn't have to test but can still frenzy from effects such as primal?
The problem there would be the transition to 20 since I have to include the beasts from earlier and a unit of bloodtrackers might not be optimal. Perhaps use the same battlegroup at 20 as 15, but switch them out for a Stalker at 25?

You can only target a living Warbeast with Primal, so Megalith would not be able to benefit I'm afraid.

Too bad! The gorax will just have to go bananas himself with those P+S 14
