    Default 15 pt scenarios?

Hey guys, my group is really new to warmachine, so we've been playing 15pt games to learn the rules. However, our Cygnar player has been dominating because he can just walk backwards and shoot for the entire game, especially against the slower factions. I understand scenarios encourage players to actually engage their opponent, making for a more fun game for both players. Do the scenarios in the MKII rulebook work well at 15pts? If so, which ones? If not, do you know of any good scenarios for 15pt games?

    Cheers,

I dont know alot of the game still but the group i play with encourged me to try killbox, from what i could tell it really gets things into action. I believe killbox means that either all units or just your caster must be 12in from the edge of the gaming area and if caught outside that area its a lose. Maybe someone knows the scenario better but thats how i played it, hope that helps a bit.

Definitely recommend kill box. When you start playing actual scenarios, several of them will have the Kill Box artifice. Basically, play caster kill, but if your caster is ever within 10 inches of the board after your first turn, you lose.

Thanks for the tip about killbox. I'll have to give it a try, it seems like it would make the game more fun and exciting without nerfing more shooty armies.

There is another one where you score points for making power attacks. Teaches you how to do grabs and throws and such. Don't know the name.

Sounds imbalanced to me tbh. Gorten + all Bashers = win. Granted, the rules probably have ways around that, but some armies are going to have an advantage regardless...

Mosh Pit isn't too bad for that level, forces both sides into the centre but it doesn't have to be your caster. Also gets you use to control zones
