Default Fish's Vessel of Judgment Conversion

    Hi all,
Readers of Lost Hemisphere have likely seen this (or at least some works in progress of this), already.

This is the link to the final entries, I think I am numero 7. (edit: I am #6)

    http://losthemisphere.com/blog/temp-msa-submissions

I go into some detail about this over there, but in a nutshell, I got rid of the "chassis" and hercuzealot and built a litter and converted 4 light warjacks to carry it.

    So without further ado...

Thanks to the crew over at Lost Hemisphere for motivating me to finally finish a model. Captain Spud in particular for sculpting help. And PG_Ghool for all his excellent tutorials, I used his techniques throughout the painting phase.

Oh, and C & C of the constructive type welcome. There are a few things I may still play with on this model.

That is a crazy conversion! I like the light jacks lugging it round compared to the single guy. The red and beige areas are blended beautifully.

Reminds me of the Cleopatra entrance scene, very very cool.

That's a sweet conversion. I can't help but think it needs the slam rule, that front bar looks like it was made for ramming things. The base adds to the character, and the clean paintjob finishes it nicely.

Been absorbed by the model and studying it for the past 20 minutes, easily. Just... wow. Damn good job.

Out of curiosity, though... why does the priest face the reliquary in some of the pictures, and then face forwards in some others?

That's one expensive conversion, BUT, is one of the best I have seen. Awesome work sir.

I play Khador, Minions, and soon to be Convergence of Cyriss.

I love it, vast improvement over the original.

If they ever do a variant of the different battle engines, I vote this one for Protectorate! Seriously, much cooler idea than the original (and I still like the original)!

Magnets! The priest and the "altar" are both magnetized. Those and the organ all come off for storage. There are little round decorative bits on either side, one of these is actually a pin which holds in the organ. You can see this in more detail on the WIP shots (Lost Hemisphere link, above).

In time and effort, yes, yes, yes! But in terms of straight cash, it wasn't too bad. I had the metal 'jack chassis (and wasn't using them), so for them I only had to buy the heads and arms. I bought only the parts I needed for the rest of the project so I saved a little there, too. And the litter was a piece of aluminum cut-off (scrap from a previous job, essentially) so that just cost me the extra time at work to machine it.

I'm sure it ended up costing more than a stock VoJ, but not crazy more.
