    Default I heard you like Bashers? - 50pt

    Been reading for quite some time about a list with quad-Bashers and decided to try my hand on it:

    SearForge Comission

    Durgen Madhammer
    ^Basher
    ^Basher
    Herne and Jonne
    Horgenhold Forge Guard (max)
    Brun Cragback and Lug
    Gudrun the Wanderer
    Ogrun Bokur
    Thor Steinhammer
    ^Basher
    ^Basher

    Issues with Magic Weapons are default to Searforge.
    Maybe Thor should be marshaling only one Basher? Dunno.
    Initially Bokur was attached to Gudrun, but then i realized it depends on what kind of list i'm facing.

    Looks really really fun :P

    I think the list will be a lot of fun to play IMHO. Brun and Lug can follow up behind Thor's Bashers to help finish off hard targets. ANd the Thor's Bashers bearing down at speed will help redirect some of the firepower coming their way.

    I have a similar list but I use two full units of OAC instead of H+J, the FG and Brun and Lug.

    This is simply Searforge, i believe the list can be a lot more optimized in Highborn:

    BrunLug => EyeSnapjaw
    Gudrun => Dougal+Reinholdt
    Bokur+HenneJonne => Ayanna + Rhupert

    Reinholdt makes Durgen fire twice, compensating the loos of HerneJonne
    Brun and Lug are marginally superior than Eye and Snapjaw, but only marginally
    Ayanna gives magic weapon and Rhupert gives Tough/Pathfinder.

    I believe the Searforge list is cooler, but i reckon the Highborn counterpart is more effective.

    Slight flaw...

    You can not take Wrong Eye & Snackjaw in a Highborne list...

    Also my Lug is painted as a rampaging and bloodied Panda. No list or optimazations can replace that.

    Magnus is right.

    However, you can use those same models and call it a 4Star list though. If you want it to be highborn, replace the Gators with the Pigs. They're almost as good in a straight forward way and a lot better if you like movement shenanigans. Everyone hates them in my local venues because I cause so much annoyance with them.

    In 4* there is no HorgenHold, so the Highborn list must go with the Pigs.

    Like you said, Brine and Snapjaw are almost the same when it comes to hitting power, which IS the main reason i'm taking Warbeasts in the first place.

    Also Brine is more similar to Lug statwise (yay?)

    Brine gets the jump on Snapjaw IMHO with the addition of Diversionary Tactics. The extra move that gives you allows for a greater threat range. All good to help start the attrition wars in your favour. Snapjaw on the otherhand is a better counter attacker due to Submerge and being largely untargetable!

    That's really only if you're not going after living models since that really negates most of the charge issue thanks to the +2 speed and free charge for Snapper Carr there.

    I think Brine is better personally because of Diversionary Tactics so he can manuever for slams and most importantly two handed throws!

    I used to think Rorsch was ten times better than Wrongeye but now that I have Wrongeye in my anti Hordes lists that's not the case at all. Holy crap Voodoo Doll on knocked down models is stupid good! Plus he's a little monster in close combat when I run him with Denny.

    The only thing I don't like about your list is the lack of a good place to put Primed. The Forge Guard like the extra damage, but hate everything else about the spell with a passion. You could skip using it, but it is one of the better buffs in the game, shame that is isn't so good on Dwaves.
