Default Can Harbinger Tier 4 take on Legion and Skorne @ 35? (If not, what's the ideal list?)

There are 2 lists I'm planning to take to the next tournament.

I'd take Harbinger against Hordes opponents but I'm not sure how well the list would perform against Skorne or Legion. I've never faced them before.

    Harbinger, Tier 4
(+1 to starting rolls and I can place 3 wall templates)
    • 3x Crusader
    • Avatar of Menoth
    • Vilmon
    • 2 x Paladins
    • Max Temple Flameguard
    • Min Choir

    Reinforcements (7 points):
    • Min Zealots + UA
    • Mechanik

    pSeverius
    • Reckoner
    • Vanquisher
    • Blessing of Vengeance
    • Repenter
    • Max Exemplar Errants + UA
    • Min Choir
    • Vassal

    Reinforcements:
    • Min Zealots + UA
    • Mechanik

Last tournament I went 3-1 with these lists, but I was fairly lucky with my matchups.

The Harbinger list can be surprisingly resiliant vs. Legion. Eyeless sight doesn't ignore Cover, and it is easy for their beasts to fly into her debuff aura when trying to take a shot at her. If they do this, she's DEF 20 vs. shooting, which is a difficult shot even with Manifest Destiny running. They also have very few magic attack options (until the new beast comes out), so Vilmon and Pals will be a major problem for them.

The only downside is that your slow Crusaders are going to get wrecked by Legion heavies. Try to at least force them to trade heavy for heavy when they do that. Crusader's Call isn't enough to overcome SPD 4 and no reach.

A big problem with Harbinger's Theme Force is that it doesn't allow Vassals of Menoth, which are clutch in dealing with the alpha strike.

But at 35 it's unlikely that the Legion player will be able to deal with 4 heavies - even they don't usually have that much. Trades should be in your favor. As long as Harby camps a decent amount of focus to avoid assassinations and hides from Ravagores and their auto-fire, you should be fine. Saeryn might give you problems though simply because her feat would almost allow her to alpha-strike twice against this list.

Against Skorne you should do decently. Again, you can almost out-muscle them, even with their titans, so long as you don't let one titan charge two jacks.

Depends on the Legion caster. eVayl can use refuge, and Saeryn loves 4 heavies at 35 points.

Skorne, depending on the caster, can also play beast heavy at 35 points and can out threat our jacks. With Archidons and Lightning strike they also have lot of yo-yo tricks.

Long story, yes Harby can do fine, it just depends on the match up, not so much the faction.

If its a pickup game try to use a scenario.

nevermind saw the next line :P

I would have a list that is solid against eLylyth with Stryders and Death Stalkers.
