15 point list question

So here's an interesting question: Say I'm playing a 15 point game, and I have two warjacks and a unit in my list. I have 2 points left. Do I spend that on a minimum Choir or on a Vassal?

That is a really good question to be honest. To me it largely depends on what the rest of the army is made up of. The warcaster is the biggest point but jacks also matter. So what are you running in your 15pt list?

Okay, I'm playing in a game today and I'm running:

-Kreoss1
-Crusader
-Repenter

-Max. Unit of Cinerators (this could be swapped with a Vanquisher).

Now, I ask mostly as an intellectual exercise so I might learn something about list-building and synergy in the Protectorate. So now: Choir or Vassal?

If you were running Vanquisher I'd definitely say use a Vassal. Extra 2pts to make that gun RoF 2 essentially.

Crusader is alright with a Vassal, but Choir is much stronger with it. Ups survivability moving up the field and makes it an absolute monster when it's time to hit something. (Khadorans do NOT like you rolling dice for damage on their jacks). Repenter is something I'm not super familiar with as I always fail with it, but choir bosts really make it a stronger choice. Apparently people like to assasinate with it.

Vanquisher+Vassal is a beautiful combo, I kinda need that crutch taken away...

See if you can get two games in tonight and try BOTH.

I agree with Alzer. With what you already have, go Choir. But if you swap the Cinerators for Vanquisher, go Vassal.

Personally I would keep what you have and go Choir. I'm in the minority, but I love Cinerators, especially with Defender's Ward.

And if you wanna try something funny, swap that crusader for a redeemer and use a vassal on him. On feat turn put max focus on him and enjoy! It will be like looking at the sunset except this aint the sun... Only the ennemy caster burning

Sorry, got a little carried away. I played a 15pt. Cygnar force & the Choirs defensive hymns really messed with his plans. Not to mention the +2 DEF/ARM Cinerators from Kreoss' spell. The funny thing is: neither of us used our feats!

Hey congrats on the win.

Honestly I usually get myself assassinated by trying to get a pop-and-drop kill (stupid Stryker and his stupid arm-buffs...) At least in battlebox games. When I can screen with something it helps a ton.

I've been loking forward to getting DWard on Bastions/Cinerators, but I've been running Reznik recently instead of Kreoss/Vindictus.
