Default Colossals: The revival of Darius

Perhaps this is a little pre-emptive, but am I'm the only one who is interested in the following 35pt list?

    Darius (+5)
    -Stormwall (20)
    -Stormwall (20)
    =35pts

It seems to me like this could actually be quite the viable 35pt list.

Anti-infantry - We've got it in spades. Between Mines, Steam-Cannon, Shoulder Cannons, Cyclone-Chain-Guns, *Thresher attacks w Reach, Tramples, etc, I think we're looking good.

Anti-heavy - I'm not saying that the Stormwall is going to be our heaviest hitter... I'm just assuming. Between that and Jack-hammer, we're probably looking pretty good.

    - Spell Support -
Let's face it. Darius has a pretty terrible spell list. He's got 1 spell that he'll use all the time (Fortify), 2 that are used with decent frequency (Jack-Hammer & Full-Throttle), and then he's got Arcantrik Bolt, which does work fairly well against Marshal'd Jacks when you bring Sylys and boost a lot. I've done that, and I've loved it when it works, but typically it's just a very very situational spell.

Now, Fortify goes very well with the Stormwall, as stacking any armour buffs on a Colossal is going to be a beautiful thing. Jackhammer will be amazing given the power that the Stormwall will be bringing (Reach, high POW attacks are prime targets for this spell.) Furthermore, Full Throttle makes those *Threshers and Tramples into extremely accurate death moves. Also, it works with Jackhammer as well. And who knows, we could even pray for a crit-effect on those gauntlets.

I believe that with the out-of-activation attacks from Jackhammer, as well as the Full-Throttle Spell will allow the Stormwall to reach its full potential as a mobile platform of devastation.

    - Feat Support -
The only thing better than bringing a 1-2 box remaining, crippled and nigh defeated Colossal back from the brink of junk into a fully-functional "War Machine of Raging Electrical Power" is doing it to two of them... at the same time. Between *Bodge, *Repair and Feat, Darius should be able to keep these things going for a very, very long time.

    - Time Support -
Timed turns have never been easier than using 3 models and some half-jacks. This will allow for some very simple clarity when deciding what to do during your turn, as well as free-up the heavy thinking and draining effect that late-day tournament players encounter all too frequently.

    - Scenario Support -
Great at holding scenarios. Not as great at taking scenarios, but not bad either. Perhaps time will tell the tale here.

    - Reinforcements -
You could basically bring anything on as reinforcements here. I'd probably Troll my opponents with 2 units of Field Mechaniks and a JWC though.

    - Problems -
No Arcane Shield, No Snipe, no +POW abilities. If the Stormwall is only packing POW 18 fists, it could be frustrating.
Expensive to buy and potentially difficult to construct.
Your friends will not like you.

...If this doesn't float your boat, that's a shame, but you could always do the following Theme list:

    Darius (+5)
    -Stormwall (20)
    -Thunderhead (11)
    -Hammersmith (7)
    -Squire (2)
Sword Knights (max) w UA (6)
    Sword Knights (4)
    Arlan Strangeways (2)
    JWC (3)
    +Pathfinder 1st Turn
    +2" Deployment Zone
    =50pts

    Best,

I want to run that so much...

I wonder if you'll be able bond Collosals.

Colossals are non-character warjacks, so I would assume bonding is kosher.

To be honest, the most exciting part of Darius with Colossals was going to be Craning them all over the map, but now that we know they can't be placed and can't benefit from OOA movement, he's well down the list of casters I'd take Stormwalls with. If they can bond I'd take a couple with eHaley for sure, maybe with eStryker for a wall of Positive Charge a mile wide. If not, Kraye (for greater speed ond ranged accuracy), either Nemo (for extra durability and Focus), and pStryker (for Snipe and ARM: Stupidiculous) would be my preferred casters. Although it would be pretty tough to beat Darius, his feat, and two Colossals for holding points, I'm guessing the rule that nobody leaves a Darius Warjack *mostly* dead will go double for Colossals.

Edit: Wouldn't Colossals also be -1 PC in the theme list?
