Default Spell juggling? What is it?

Hey guys so Im just getting into Retribution (about 3 months ago) and after picking up Ravyn a few days ago and getting to use her and then reading a few battle reports I have heard the term juggling crop up. Now I get that with Ravyn it would be something like switching snipe between two units or keeping it up on both. Im really just wondering how it is done? do I recast the spell on each unit every turn? Thanks for the help.

Cycling is the most used term for what you're describing.

    It works as follows:
    Ravyn casts Snipe on T1.
On T2, she upkeeps it. The model/unit benefiting from it activates and shoots. Then Ravyn activates and casts Snipe on a model/unit that has not activated. Now the other model/unit activates and shoots.
On T3, she upkeeps it again, activates the model/unit with it, shoots, etc.

You cannot have more than one instance of the same upkeep in play and that's why you are forced to cycle offensive style upkeeps instead of simply upkeeping two.

You cast snipe on say MHSF first turn, Second turn pay to upkeep the spell and activate the unit before you activate Ravyn, Activate Ravyn and recast snipe on another unit such as stormfall archers (to take advatage of brutal shot at 16")

How Spell juggling works is as follows:

Turn 1: -cast Snipe (For example) on Stormfall Archers (For example.)
-Shoot with em if you can.
Turn 2: -Spend 1 focus in maintenance phase to upkeep Snipe.
    -Activate Archers. Shoot with em.
-Activate Ravyn. Cast Snipe on Mage Hunter Strike Force. (Snipe Expires on Archers.)
-Activate MHSF and shoot with em.
Turn 3. -Spend 1 focus in maintenance phase to upkeep Snipe.
    -Activate MHSF. Shoot with em.
    -ACTivate Ravyn....et cetera ad infinitum.

Edit: Curse my inability to type and answer the phone at the same time...I guess my answer is redundant.

It's 106 miles to Korsk. We got a full focus battery, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing goggles. Hit it.

While I love this tactic, one drawback I'd like to mention is it can cause Order of Activation issues when using Ravyn's Feat. By that, I mean if you upkeep Snipe and have one unit activate, then Ravyn activates and casts Snipe on another unit, then uses her Feat during her activation, the first unit misses out on the benefit of the Feat.

Absolutely. However, I'd add that anything besides MHSF that wants snipe for the four extra inches on feat turn(I'm thinking most likely stormfall archers or a jack) can usually wait to activate after Ravyn, just walk forward four inches instead and let the feat make up the forfeited aiming bonus 5/6 of the time. Snipe-feat-go is really for the MHSF, so they can get the chewy nougat behind that crunchy shell.
