    Default hordes night mare

I don't play competitively, only having 2 people that I play on a regular occasion, 1 plays PoM and the other Hordes, at the moment being legion.
Our upcoming games are going to be double caster at around 75 points
I am currently building a storm army (everything with with maybe a few exceptions)
the final list is as follows:

    Lord Commander Coleman Stryker
    Ol' Rowdy
    Lancer

    General Adept Nemo
    Squire
    Thunderhead
    Stormclad
    Firefly

Stormblades with UA and full gunners
    Stormguard full
    Storm lances full
    Stormsmiths all 3
    Storm tower
    Major Kateherine Laddermore
    Captain Arlan Strangewayes

and against Hordes I am putting in Pendrake for a couple of points over the 75 but is he worth it as the previous times he has been used he has either been sniped by the cavalry or just nommed on by the heavies

I am looking for tips on how to beat an essentially warbeast army with what I have here or maybe some substitutions but keeping with the storm army theme

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Against Hordes, concentrate your efforts on the warbeasts. Remember it is all or nothing, if you leave a warbeast with just one point it will be fully operational on your ops turn. Also, no use going after a warlock if he has focus and any beasts with hp left. So, go after his beasts one at a time, you deny him focus next turn and you take away his power to dish out damage.

When you have short on power, you have leveled the odds, so concentrate fire, and maybe even a retreating flank to give you an extra round of fire before you engage, that is your advantage. Force him to charge your tarpits so you can counter with your heavys. Do NOT counter with one heavy if it cannot take it out. His counter will do far more damage. So, if you counter charge, make sure you send in enough to finish the job and move your troops to intervene between your jacks and his beasts to insure they get bogged down before completing the charge.
In 2013 I have made a pledge to take time for myself and paint an hour every day. It takes me about 2 hours to paint a basic troopers so I made a point system to keep track of my goal. 2pts small base, 4 pts med base, 6 pts large base and bonus points for special figs. You should make your own pledge. Do 90 pts in 90 days, or even 30 points in 30 days. You can look here to see how I am doing, More flames and bones here!
