Team game casters

I'm participating in a league right now, and there is an achievement for playing team games. I did one last week paired with a Ret player. I played a Vindictus infantry and solo list and it worked out ok, but I found I wasn't really bringing much to support my partner.

Do we have a caster who does support a partnered team as well as our own?

Harby is about the only one I can think of off the top of my head. Her feat in particular. I suppose pKreoss, too, with his pop and drop and toolbox of spells.

Who else?

I think you hit the two main ones that work well cross faction, Harby and Kreoss. You might also get some milage out of the High Reclaimer's clouds, though his small circle of influence can be problematic to say the least. You'd have a lot more options if you were teaming up with another menoth player, of course, because "friendly faction" is usually very important to our casters.

Never team up with another Menoth player in a friendly game It just produces a lot of disgruntlement as the two of you slaughter your opponents.

This may be a better job for individual models. Particularly for Cygnar and Ret, whose shooty lists tend to shut down once their opponent closes. Running the Avatar on the shared flank and Gazing would be viable for assisting in keeping high value pieces from being engaged early. Also, a cleanser squad for incinerates or deliverers if you need to clear the way for your buddy should have the range to assist without getting in the way.

Feora has Ignite as does Reznik and he also has Iron Aggression. I mention these spells since they are friendly and not friendly faction. Guided Hand is also friendly models via the Harbinger so you can use that with a Mage Hunter Assassin or Narn or Dawnguard Sentinels or Houseguard Halberdiers.

It depends on the caster, but as for a general caster I would go pKreoss.

His feat hits opfor, and DW on MHSF or dawnguard. Ohhh yeah.

Feats that affect enemies are always preferable in multi player games, everyone (on your side) wins that way! =)

While you can always buff his stuff with non friendly faction spells, I wouldn't let that be a major deciding factor as A) you can only buff one unit at a time so you can always get by just buffing your own. And B) the chances he/she forgets what the buff is and doesn't apply the benefits when they count are alot higher than they are for you.

Thinking outside the box can lead to some unexpected rewards in multi player. Different faction, but I ran a very successful Goreshade the Bastard list where he sat behind a shield walling Khador Man-O-War brick. His Mage Blight spell was never more potent because Khadorian durability added an unexpected element to my Cryx tryx.

Remember that there are bad pairings to. A super fast Cryx list might not be the best Cryx list with a slow movingMeno-block. If played wrong, it just leads to a split army, ripe for destruction from the other side's guns/maces

My first thought for this thread was to take PFeora. Her fire walls will help any model, and the right pairing might get her the perfect escort to apply her arm blades to enemy faces
