Thinking about Cassius

There's a warmahordes league starting up at my local shop soon, and I've been itching to try Cassius out. I'd like to get some feedback before I actually spend money on the the model and paint him up. I only have a small collection right now and it's optimized for Mohsar so I'd be needing to pick up a few pieces to play Cassius. Here's my idea for a 35 point list.

Woldwatcher
Warpwolf Stalker

Druids of Orboros w/ Overseer

Lord of the Feast

4x Gallows Grove

35 points

The numbers are very small, but I have a several ways to decimate infantry and tie up heavies. What do you think?

I think you still likely want at least one unit of Shifting Stones at 35 points, and probably don't quite need all 4 Groves. LotF is almost always good, Druids are solid generally too. I'd maybe consider that the Woldwatcher can't shieldguard the tree, and won't provide any souls when he kills stuff due to fertilizer.

Why can't the Woldwatcher Shield Guard the tree? I don't have a rulebook in front of me, but know that I can Shield Guard a battle engine, so see no reason why the tree would be exempt.

I don't play Cassius but would suggest that you need some cheap souls in the army to feed Wurmwood, something like Wolves Of Orboros or Farrow.

My apologies, I'm getting Flesh of Clay and Shield Guard confused, it does work. That said, still not sure its going to be your best bet, but it at least will work.

I don't actually own any constructs yet, but I had figured shield guard would be worth the price for someone like Cassius. I could drop the watcher for something else, I own a unit of woldstalkers that could add some more ranged power.

Weirdly enough, Id say drop the watch and LOTF and two of the gallows groves.
