I've had an idea for those of us with laptops (but no tablet or a tablet with a small screen). I will be setting up a virtual machine to run Android on the tablet. That way, I can run Warroom on a decent size screen. Here's how to do it: http://youtu.be/gESIOrNUGKQ

And, here's an even better way to do it. http://www.android.pk/blog/tutorials...andwich-on-pc/

I don't mind the push back at all. It MIGHT be released on the day after my bday, so I can write off the expense as a birthday gift to myself. =)

War Room is an extra. It's not needed at all, in any way. Don't get me wrong. It'll be very useful and I plan on buying it, but the point is that PP doesn't have to release it at all. They gave use a great preview of a digital product still in development, their first digital product, and people are surprised that it is getting delayed? Is it really that big of a surprise it was delayed?
I understand the disappointment, I was really hoping to have this app for Lock and Load. But think about it from PP's point of view. I have no doubt PP really wanted this for L&L as well but had to push it back do to what ever the reason is. All that hard work and they are forced to miss their hard release date. If they could get this app out, have it fully functional and live up to the high standards we have come to expect from PP, I'm sure they would.
From me:
PP, thanks for the hard work you are always putting in to every aspect of this game.
I recommend Forward Kommander while people wait. Is it perfect? Nope. But it does the job and it's free.

I love the game, and I am a big fan, BUT I am alittle upset that the date keeps getting pushed back. With every delay I care less and less about buying War Room. It's just getting harder and harder to muster any enthusiasm. I have some many other things that will need my hard earned money in July. Sigh...so unti the next delay I guess it's back to IBodger.
Actually there is a free army builder for gGW called quartermaster. They let it happen, because he doesn't include the actual GW IP, but instead you have to enter that yourself. In addition all of the army list templates are available for download from a separate community resource that other people create. It's unfortunately a bit more convoluted than ibodger, but it works just as well, and allows anyone to modify the list builder unlike ibodger.
I'll take the delay for a better list-builder. Preferably one that intelligently supports theme forces.
I only hooe it will be availabe through slideme as my pandigital wont let me DL from google or amazon.. On a side note to PG_aterdaeus, I use Ibodger to store lists I have made by hand that way I have a catalogue, allbeit small, of lists to pick from for pickup games.
I didn't really use iBodger so im not missing it.
Making it right is all I need to hear for me to understand the push back date of release.
Thank you for the update PP

Thanks for getting an updated time frame to us, PP. It is greatly appreciated.

"Have you tried turning it off & on again?"
I do like that it's an actual real date. It feels like a commitment. I think thats why everyone got so weirdo crazy about the Mid May timeframe. Umm is it mid may? Maybe even today but July 8th is not July 9th and hopefully we will get something concrete if it gets to July 10th and no war room.
I played a 2 caster 70 point game against 2 35 point one caster cygnar players yesterday. That was a lot of cards and models to keep track of. All I could think of was, man, Warroom will be SWEET!!

This is the biggest problem I have with all of this. Someone had to have known 2-3 weeks ago that it wouldn't be released on time, so why keep it a secret and build up the extra dissapointment? It's like waiting until the actual release date of a video game, waiting in line at the store, only for the owner to come out and say that it will actually be two months from now.The only real thing about this that bothers me is that they had to know well before today that War Room was going to be pushed back again and they waited until a general frenzy on the forums to say something. I wish they had mentioned it last week so people (me included) weren't getting so fired up about the release date approaching, then arriving, and looking online several times a day only to be disappointed. I thought for sure it would be released on time precisely because "Mid May" was passing and PPS hadn't said they would miss date.
I'm glad they're polishing it, but I felt this was inconsiderate.

The release date was mid May. They told us effectively on that "date" (the middle day of the month was that Tuesday and they told us Friday).Of course poeple will get hyped up as the release window approaches and then arrives. It happened when the date was "April" and the last week of April came before PPS told us of the delay to mid May. It will happen again as we approach July 9th if there's no info before then on the status of the project, and if July 9th comes and another delay is announced people will be unhappy. That's just the way it is. The good thing is it means people care about the product and want it, which will translate to buying it :-)

I'll chime in on feeling disappointed by them not announcing the delay sooner. Hopefully if they're not going to make the new release date, they'll let us know further in advance.

People seem to be forgetting that this is out of PP's hands. They aren't developing this, Tinkerhouse Games is. And if you look at their website, it's no surprise they can't get this app finished
http://tinkerhousegames.com/index.html
That's right, they have 2 apps in their resume, and one is an airhorn app. Taking on such a large project is something I'd bet they just weren't prepared for. I know PP isn't afraid to give little guys a chance, but this was a poor decision that I'm sure they're regretting.

I must agree with some of you lads here, making software ain't easy, and problems appear when you least expect it, you that have tried to develop software or apps knows what i am talking about.
I have also been disappointed every time i check the forums or app store to see if it has been release, but i rather wait a bit more and receiver a good product that we will pay money for.
Image n that they just released it, with all the bugs and problem, would you be more happy? buying a product that doesn't work? i think not.
all i am saying its sad to wait more after you expected it to be released, but no need to flame and talk trash, it does not help anyone, and won't help the process at all!
lets just be patient and hope that the long wait will pay off.
I dont think any one is arguing that point. I think what is getting everyone is worked up is that they keep announcing release dates and then they consistently fail to meet the dates they set.
This is why if I were them I wouldn't give any release dates. Just say it will be out when its done. (A lot of software companies stand by this.)
Hell you could just say Summer of 2012 at this point, but with the dates of Waroom constantly being pushed around even that might make me nervous.
Amusingly, their webpage still says "Spring".
NoVA players: Come to Game Parlor Chantilly on Thursday nights for some Warmachine/Hordes action!
The Protectorate of Menoth: We're on a mission from God.
To whom it may concern, this might be interesting.
Edit: Nothing earth-shattering, but as I suspected (being a programmer/developer myself) they needed to rework some things to make the end product work as well as they and the users would want, which means more time is needed.

and now, iBodger if gone (on iTunes)...complete BS
Im not too worried about the release date as I am about being able to purchase it as a late birthday present to myself if it isnt availabe through the app store my tablet uses as it doesnt allow you to purchase apps through google play. Please oh please say it goes to the slideme marketplace for my poor pandigital.
4 days to the Warrroom release date. Anticipation is high, but...
...will it be released...
...this time...
...for real...?

How about some alternate-paint scheme CYGNAR?! And after that, why not spend some time in the woods with my CIRCLE ORBOROS...?!Originally Posted by Saufzwerg

I've largely been away from the forums for a few months (work has been busy), but was it ever confirmed that they're going to be supporting theme force validation? I know that the new screen shot shows a "theme force" button, but until I see confirmation, I'm not going to assume that the button actually means that validation is supported (it could just take you to a list of theme forces that tells you what the bonuses etc are). That's the one thing I really want in War Room that wasn't there when they were talking about it a few months ago... I use a lot of theme forces, so if they delayed the launch partly to build theme force validation into War Room, then I'll be a happy camper.
