    Default Rhyas and Aby 25pts

    Hello all. I'm trying to find a good balance with Rhyas. Any help will be grateful.

    Rhyas
    Scythean
    Harrier
    Shredder
    Blighted Swordsmen(6)
    Strider Deathstalker X2
    Striders with UA

    Absylonia
    Carnivean
    Ravagore
    Scythean

    Thanks for the input.

    I can't speak with authority on the Rhyas list, but as a hardcore Abby fan I don't like the Abby list that much to be honest. The Ravagore is a nice artillery piece, but given Abby's very small control area, it would be better to leave in the control of a Shepherd to keep it out of harm's way. Also, if you don't take an Angelius with Abby, you are doing yourself a disservice. Take an Angelius and a Shredder, put Forced Evolution and Tenacity on the Angelius, and you're looking at a flying monstrosity with a threat range of 10", the same DEF as Denehgra, and an Armour Piercing attack strong enough that there are no medium- or large-based models that it can't beat the ARM on. I have survived an assault from the Butcher and then one-shotted him with this combo

    Here's what my Abby list looks like at 25pts. It counts as a Tier 4 (Absylonia can build a rubbish Tier 4 at 19pts, and a respectable one at 21), and the 1-point discount to the cost of heavies, Advanced Deployment, and Advance Move are all seriously worth it. Basic tactics: Forced Ev on the Angelius, Playing God on the Carnivean, Carnivore on Abby, then CHAAAAAARGE.

    System: Hordes
    Faction: Absylonia - Winds of Change
    Casters: 1/1
    Points: 25/25
    Tiers: 4
    Absylonia, Terror of Everblight (*5pts)
    * Shredder (2pts)

    * Stinger (2pts)
    * Angelius (8pts)
    * Carnivean (10pts)

    Thanks for the info. The only thing I don't have is a Stinger. Would a Harrier do well?

    I only really take the Stinger for its animus. I wouldn't bother with a Harrier, Abby hits things fine in melee with Carnivore, and she's good at solo-hunting if you mutate her up. Put another Shredder in if you don't have a Stinger.

    This goes double for Rhyas. If you're in melee you want to boost the to hit roll for a greater chance of a critical decapitation, rather than an auto hit that can't crit.

    Ya I had a long discussion on the mater with another legion player. I was confused on the matter. I've only been playing legion for about a month with a total of 8 games. I mean when you get almost all the models in one fell swoop for 10% of the total price. Its a steep learning curve. But I'm glad to have gotten into Legion. And now seeing the Archangel I'm really hook. I really like Dragons.
