Default Ground Pounder in melee: Reroll misses?

If one of your Ground Pounder rolls misses a target that is in melee, do you still reroll against other models, as with Assault, or is this also prevented due to Ground Pounder not targetting?

Ground Pounder's attacks are based on an AOE radius placed down, and then makes attacks against people in it. I believe that if models engaged with the target are outside of this AOE, then it becomes a moot point, because those would be auto-misses. And if they were already in the AOE, well, you'd be making attacks against them anyway.

    Or rather, lack of targeting.
