Default 2 Menoth Lists - Harby & pSevvy - Comments Appreciated!!!

    Hey everyone,

Foraying into Menoth as my WM faction (currently play legion on the hordes side). We typically play SR2012 with 2 lists around my parts so that's what I'll be building to. I'm thinking Harby and pSevvy. They seem to play similarly but I think they cover each other's weakness'. Sevvy can deal with infantry that don't care about harbys feat (sit for a turn) while Harby seems like the go to gal for most scenarios/balanced lists.

    Harby - 35

    Harbinger of Menoth +5
    *2x Reckoner -16

    Choir of Menoth (min) -2
    Exemplar Errant Seneschal -2
    Exemplar Errants (max) + UA - 10
    The Covenant of Menoth -2
    2x Vassal of Menoth -4
    Rhupert Carvolo -2
    Gorman Di Wulfe -2

Seems pretty balanced, shoot until they're close, send the jacks in. Gorman does his thing. Rhupert and Book keep the errants going.

    pSevvy - 35

    Grand Scrutator Severius +6
    *Blessing of Vengeance -7
    *Reckoner -8
    *Hierophant -2

    Choir of Menoth (min) -2
    Exemplar Errant Seneschal -2
    Exemplar Errants (max) + UA - 10
Holy Zealots (max) + UA -8
    Vassal of Menoth -2

Similar to the above list, but deals with hordes of infantry better. I'm thinking DW the Zealots turn 1 and shoot one for 14/18. Jam em into combat. Mini-Feat to leave combat and throw pow 15s at whatever I need dead.

    Comments appreciated...

I need suggestions for reinforcements! I'd really like a module of 7 points I can just plug into both lists.

In my experience Harby and sevy seemed to have similar match ups strengths and weaknesses. Not enough to warrant a change in casters, but enough to dwell on it a little if you start having some troubles.

The harbinger list looks fine. One possibility you could do is drop the seneschal and rhupert for rhoven. It will make the list a little more offensive and let you deal with stealth models which will strengthen your circle and cryx match us.

The Sevy list looks a little to similar to your harbinger list. I think between the two your going to have a hard time against heavy armor list that skorne, trolls, khador, and protectorate can bring. I'd drop the errants, seneschal and hierophant for the avatar and wracks.

Hmmm, Avatar was going to be my bump to 50. Why him over say another Reckoner? They hit pretty similarly... Is it a focus issue?

I can just drop the errants and seneschal for avatar plus wrack essentially giving Sevvy 10 focus to play with.

The avatar gives you a little more durability, melee, and board control. Plus if you are trying to sling spells the self sufficient focus will help out.

My mental math was wrong. I still stand by dropping errants, senescahl, and hierophant for the avatar, wracks, and a two point solo. I'd take the covenant, second vassal, reclaimer, or two mechanics over the hierophant.
