Default Oh Ret forums, in your infinite wisdom

Help me choose a paint scheme!

I can't decide between two schemes I've got on the go at the moment ... so I thought I'd ask for some opinion here :D.

So like, I'm not a very experienced painter, and as much as I like the studio scheme, it's a bit hard to pull off effectively ... so I've decided to go with stoney grey rather than white, however, I kinda have two ideas how I want to take the rest of the scheme. I can't decide between foresty greens or icy blues ... I did an example on Aiyana and a Sentinal to show you :).

    Scheme 1

With this one, I was going for warm, forest type camoflage for Mage Hunters (I demonstrated on Aiyana because she has a lot of cloth on her outfit, like the Mage Hunters do), with golds for embelishment, and silvers for some of the clips and stuff. The Myrmidons and more heavily armoured troops were interesting too. I decided that, since they live in remote forests when they're on missions, that the Myrmidon's wouldn't be exactly sparkly clean, so they might be a little grass stained from wear and tear, which would be a cool effect.
Scheme 2

This one is more winter-inspires, with more cold blues and light silvers. The turquoise metal in the book makes an appearence here a fair amount. Also, I wanted to use lighter tans and leathers as opposed to the richer ones in the "forest" scheme. For the armoured troops and Myrmidons, I kinda messed around with the idea of having them have accents of the turqiouse metal in their armour, but I'm not sure how do-able that'll be (not painted very much haha).
So yeah, those are the two I've got in mind at the moment, and I like them both a lot ... but I can't decide between them D:.

Anyone want to give me a hand choosing?

Sorry if the images are obnoxious ... spoiler tags don't seem to be enabled ...

I like the first one (forest greens) for the the Mage hunters and prefer the second for the armored characters.

I like the Forest Greens on the girl, but I really like the Baby Blue for the armors.

Any reason you're asking here, rather than in the M&P Board?

(I like the blue, I see a lot of green Ret already, and I always like to be different)

Mostly because I'd like the opinion of ret players, and because I asked there once before and got no response ;~;.

I mean I guess it could be there ... and my forum instincts are telling me it's a better fit there but ... I dunno.

I'm coherent in my thought lines .

I like the first one. My scheme is pretty similar and I think it looks very good.

By "Primary colour" what do you mean?

The main colour for their armour and stuff will be stoney grey.

I much prefer the second one. It also depends on what kind of base you want them to have, though.

If you are looking at grey and blue for a scheme take a look at this one HERE

The scheme I've been doing mine is close, I went more of an aquafresh green glow. The other Ret player in our area went with the blue. It's a scheme I really liked from the first time I saw it.
